Now, I know they get a bad press, but are there "tsundere" characters in manga/anime that you actually like? The first one that I've really liked is Yukako Yamiagishi, from Part 4 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. No particular reason why; I just kind of emphasized with her and thought she and Koichi made a nice couple.

JoJo wrote a manga?

I'm afraid I have never understood this bewildering phenomenon. Can someone please explain the appeal? No matter how long I observe it, its secrets remain hidden from me.

Sena Kashiwazaki is the only Tsundere I have been able to enjoy. Maybe because she is a a rather mild tsundere and doesn't say "baka" every two seconds.

I mean look at that adorable smile. How could you not love her?

Maybe There are dudes who dig Cold, Aloof, Abusive, and Highly Jealous women.

OT: I always liked the Little Assassin Girl in To-Love-Ru(havent read Darkness btw) myself she was the only one not falling over herself for the MC. although I'm not sure if she really counts otherwise i genrally hate them and dislike when the MC guns for them instead of the better girls.

Any decent tsundere is my biggest weakness,I find them cripplingly adorable. I cannot allow this thread to continue without mentioning the goddess that is Bakamonogatari's Senjougahara. The Tsun:Dere ratio is about 99:01 in her case.

I suppose I have to mention Michiru from Grisaia no Kajitsu seeing as everything she does is meticulously planned to be a tsundereish as possible. Funny example in that she isn't really a tsundere she just likes roleplaying as one. Shock twist, your main character is the real tsundere. Someone in the game brought it up in a comedy scene and Yuuji really has some killer tsun/dere moments without even realising he's doing it and I can't stop noticing it.

I always liked Rin from Fate/Stay Night. But then, Shirou is such a complete shithead, getting pissed off is the only logical reaction to most of the things he does. I'm not sure she counts to be honest, since her temper rarely stems from awkward physical situations or an inability to express her feelings, but rather Shirou's knack for being the biggest possible shit for brains in any given situation.

Aside from that, I'm kinda drawing a blank here. They're so goddamn grating, I have no idea why they became such a common trope in anime. Guess Japanese men have weird taste...as if we didn't know that already.

Why, Mayo Mitama from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

She burns down her teacher's house, reguarly violates her dog with branches, reguarly violates her teacher with an electric car charger, a bicycle pump, and Playstation 3, and murders several prison gaurds... but, she does them all out of love!
