i think that most people know how to iron sight there guns and fire but i wonder why not just give us a list of things for example

A FPS game could be

-how to Fire /Zoom
- how to Move Around the World
-How to take cover
-What does each symbol mean [Multiplayer only i guess]
-Please Fill in what i haven't covered

A RPG could me
-Items
-Tactics
-The Basic
-Again Fill in what i haven't covered

so why cant they just use that instead? it makes easier to skip the tutorial but you can select things you might not grasp like objectives.

So whats your take of Tutorials in FPS or any Genre for that matter?

MAG i had trouble grasping at first because there Tutorials didn't really describe the online modes well

I prefer having one to not having one. As I've always been a guy that needs to practice something to understand it, I really appreciate tutorials. I'll sometimes go back and visit for a refresher really well done ones. That said, I hate tutorials which fail to properly explain important features that the game expects to be used commonly later on. Those end with me half way through the game unable to beat a boss because I never understood one critical feature which up that point I had compensated for.

I like a tutorial, but one if it's integrated into the gameplay and story well. Bioshock did this really well; introducing you to plasmids, combos and the basics of weapons.

I would prefer to have skippable tutorials or tutorial videos that you can return to if need be.
