For all of you who have ever watched cable or satellite TV, you have probably heard of (or even watched shows on) TV Land. This is a channel that is owned by Nickelodeon (which is a children's TV network) that originally started as a spin-off to Nick @ Nite (which is a late-night programming block on Nickelodeon). It broadcasts a range of historically popular TV shows, ranging from I Love Lucy to M*A*S*H to Scrubs.

I've started watching this network recently, mainly because Nick @ Nite sucks now, since it has removed nearly every show that I liked from its schedule (e.g. Cheers, Three's Company, etc.) or moved likable shows to shitty time-slots (e.g. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air).

On TV Land, I usually watch The Cosby Show, Cheers, and 3rd Rock from the Sun, all because I enjoyed these shows so much as I grew up, and I still do now. I also occasionally catch a few episodes of M*A*S*H, mainly because I've heard so much praise of it.

Basically, I was wondering if any of you have ever heard of this network. If so, do you watch it often or have you watched it often at some point in your life? If so, what shows have you watched on it? Why do you like those shows? Also, if you haven't heard of it, why? Or, if you have heard of it, but rarely watch it, why?

Please share you answers. In exchange, I will display a tiny-tiny version of the network's logo:

No, I never watched it, unfortunately; I was to naiive at the time to grasp the humor of some of the better shows (Taxi was one my grandmother liked)

Also, I never really apreciated physical comedy, I.E., The Three Stooges.

Mmm. I hope that answers your question.

Apologies for not having more insight.

The unnecessary overly large image is unnecessary. Also, overly large.

Okay, I'll get a smaller image (or remove it entirely if the admins or mods tell me to do so).

I just posted a huge one for the sake of comedic ridiculousness.

I have yet to be able to catch Taxi on TV Land, although my dad and I used to watch it sometimes when it was rerun on "standard" channels.

I can understand that many may not fully-appreciate the humor in these older shows, as they are admittedly from different eras. However, I still recommend all who have yet to watch to at least try to watch some shows on TV Land.
