as many of you may or may not know tv-links.co.uk was perhaps the best website for watching tv online but was shut down some time last year and since then i have yet to find a suitable replacement i have tried surfthechannel(my favorite replacement), alluc, tv-links.cc, and tvshack. Does anyone have any better replacements or info on if tv-links will ever return?

Not entirely sure if this type of discussion is allowed. The previous posters suggstions aside because they are legitimate and legal players.

well i was looking for something a little... free-er
and tv-links wasnt technically illegal it was like standing in the middle of a city with a bilboard that has directions to all the nearest drug dealers, not really illegal but ur goin to jail for it anyway

You're right, the site wasn't doing anything illegal. YOU on the other hand, by watching those videos, were totally doing illegal stuff.

Freer than free?

...'kay.
ummm those sites werent free
I use BBC iPlayer and 4OD every day, I can guarantee you that iPlayer is entirely free. Yes, okay, 4OD charges for some things, but all the best stuff is free. I've never used ITV Player before, but I've got something on there now to test it... yeah, it's free. Also never used Demand Five, but I looked through the help pages and it seems there's free stuff on there too.

Anything else?

I can confirm that these are absolutely free to UK citizens.

...If you want US series (that aren't broadcast on these channels or like 'the wire' aren't licensed to be put on the players), you can't get them legally and I'm not going to help you break the law and get this thread locked.

TPB does exactly the same thing as them. It provides links to where you can access such content. So yeah, according to swedish prosecutors, what they are doing is highly illegal.
