Ahh, TV shows on DVD, I absolutely love this concept. It's awesome to be able to pick up a season of your favorite show and be able to watch it whenever you want.

I myself have a bunch of DVD box sets, it's a great way to support a show you like, and many fans who would otherwise look for episodes for free online would probably rather just pick them up on DVD, so really, it's a win-win for all involved.

But, the topic at hand isn't about all the great TV series' we have on DVD, it's about the ones we don't have. The TV shows that, for whatever reason haven't gotten a box set yet.
Well, this thread is about saying which shows you think deserve complete season/series box sets.

I'll start off by listing two series', both of which are actually TV shows for kids, but both are popular among older viewers too.

This is a great superhero cartoon, and with the Avengers Movie being one of the biggest things on the planet right now, I'm frankly surprised that they haven't released a season one box set of this show to try to tie into it.
The entirety of season one is actually available on DVD in the US, but it's broken up into 4 different DVDs with only 6 or 7 episodes each. Admittedly, it may just be me being picky about this, but I want the entire season in one set, I don't want to have to track down 4 different DVDs, (Which I actually did try to do at one point, but couldn't find more than 2 of the DVDs in any of the stores I went to.)
The weird thing is, there is in fact a season one bluray, but it was only released in Canada. Again, it may just be me being picky and not wanting to buy 4 different DVDs, but why the hell can't they just bring the season one bluray they already have down to the US?

Without getting into the specifics of the show, or its quality, or the fanbase or anything like that, I just think it would be a good move by Hasbro (or Shout! Factory, as they distribute the show) to release a proper season Box set. As it stands right now, the fans watch the show for free online, but I know that most of them would be willing to shell out the money to get a season 1 or 2 DVD set, I would. I'm sure such a venture would turn a profit. Unlike the Avengers, this show doesn't have all its episodes on DVD, only a handful of episodes were released across 2 (or maybe 3 I'm not sure) DVDs. And while MLP, and the Avengers, have all their episodes available for download on iTunes, I'd prefer having physical copies of both shows. iTunes is nice, but for stuff like movies and TV shows and games, I always go for hard copies.

Alright my fellow escapists. Your turn: which shows that aren't on a DVD/Bluray set would you like to see on a DVD/Bluray set? Do you guys even like the whole TV on DVD thing? And which shows, if any, do you already own the box sets of?

I'd have to agree with both of those choices.
Hell, MLP:FIM is on Netflix so why not?

Why I REALLY like to see is some OLDER series released on Blu-Ray like:
Escaflowne
Swat Cats
Sailormoon
Ronin Warriors

Actually, most shows I tend to want on BR are anime that have overpriced DVDs and/or are just too spread out (2 episodes per dvd, dah hell?) for my neat level.

Just letting you know, Avengers EMH is available as a complete set.
I even saw one at my local store that came in a cool metal box.
I'm in Australia so maybe that's why you haven't seen it.

To be honest, every show I can think of has DVD/Bluerays available. I would have said Power Rangers, but the other day it was announced that all 19 seasons were being released on DVD.

Probably. Because I've never seen that before.
I should probably change up the thread to specify DVD box sets that you have not seen in your own country.

Now this makes me wonder about the details that go into getting a regional box set of a series. I wonder if it's a regional audience thing.
