Is the HDMI cable loose? Is the HDMI cable you're using some cheap model? How long have you had that plasma TV for? If its nearing the end of its lifespan it may be the reason the picture is cutting out.

Yeah - step 1 swap out the cable. Cables do occasionally stop working for absolutely no reason (happened to me not long ago).

I thought this would be about how nothing is on the TV and I was going to prescribe some DVD's... Oh well, take the advice from other posters since I cannot add to this thread anymore.

Month old plasma should be fine. Its probably your cable, or whatever you're plugging it into. If you have a spare HDMI cable, try swapping it.

If it is on a console then probably the cable or maybe you have got dirty contacts or something in the plug. If it is TV where you need an antenna maybe you should check the antenna just to make sure it hasn't been damaged or moved in some way. Also as someone else mentioned TVs can be effected by electrical signals. I can knock mine out for a split second by closing the fridge door (I think it is the cooling engaging).

If your running it through an AV/home theater reciever, it could be that too. A friend had a similar issue that resolved itself when he got a new AV unit.

I got a similar problem for my PS3 and ONLY my PS3. Got one HDMI cable and I switch it between my 360 and PS3 which are beside eachother. When it is in my 360. It is all good. No problems at all, perfection. However, when I put it in my PS3. There is a 30% chance that at one point the TV will switch to a black screen and say "NO SIGNAL" while it dances around the screen, tormenting me. I have to hit the HDMI button on the TV's remote for it to remember nothing is wrong with it. It is especially annoying when I am playing a game, almost about to die and BAM! Black screen and when I finally fix it I am lying dead on the ground from being mowed down. Maybe I need a New HDMI cable... That's what I get for buying a $24.99 cable. Damn you crappy Dynex HDMI cable...
