I'm putting this in OTD rather than gaming because it's more about protagonist substitution and a bizarre form of fanboyism than anything else.

Anyway, for those who've played most of the TW titles, the historical scenario battles should be little surprise, and of course the military buffs amongst us pine after that one scenario that either the developers or the modders don't have.

So, which are you favourites, which do you want, which were the most challenging?

For me:

Favourites - Trebbia (even though it was god awful, accuracy-wise, it was an awesome battle to fight), Waterloo & Raphia

Desires - Ilipa, Zama & Plataea (or at least I haven't played any mods with them), but probably most of all, as of now, at least, Salamanca

Challenges - Carrhae (good lord, I played this one so many times, the Romans just kept coming... talking about the EB one, though the vanilla version was a toughie, too)

Favourite - Waterloo
Want - Vitoria, Bosworth Fields, Siege of Jerusalem (Either one)
Challenge - Borodino

I only really did scenarios in Napoleon and only because they formed their own narrative. I've started Badon Hill a couple of times but never finished it, same for Agincourt, and I lost Telamon (I think)

I've only really done them on Rome TW, as I prefer the campaign in most games. The Siege of Sparta was probably the hardest, as I walked into the battle thinking "It's only a couple of Hoplites, this is going to be easy!"

I've only really played Medieval 2 and Rome so this'll be brief:

Favorite - The conquistador force in Meso-America, Guns vs. Natives never gets old..

Desire - If I ever bought Empire then I'd love to play the Charge of the Light Brigade, I know its against the entire Russian Army but I could still wing it..

Challenge - Siege of Granada, hell, it all looks good until you realise all of your forces are in range of the enemy trebuchets so that you get pounded all the way to the gates is annoying considering I could have just sat there for ages with the heavy guns but nooooooo.. you have to attack under the fire of a thousand missiles..
