Okay, can I please get some confirmation here that I'm not the only one irritated by this. Twilight has been out for a while now, and yes, the fans are annoying.

But am I the only one who thinks the only thing more annoying than the fans are the anti-fans?

I'm just going to go ahead and state two facts about Stephanie Meyer:
a) She's not going to win the Nobel prize for literature anytime soon.
b) She didn't violate your mother.

As someone who used to live near a store that sold Mills and Boon for 10c each, I know bad romance novels. At least no one in Twilight tries to rape anyone else, putting it far and away ahead of most of the genre. I'm not saying it's brilliant, but it's really not that bad and occasionally quite touching. I'm no fan, but for the genre it is one of the better series.

The fans are a little scary, but let's just take a looks at various reactions:

Fan: "omg I luv Edward Cullen!!!1!gonig to marry him!!!1"

Anti-fan: "Twilight murdered my family, and here's a pie chart, a flow chart, a comic and thesis on why it's the worst thing to happen to pop culture since the Jonas Brothers, and a link to why the Jonas Brothers suck."

Honestly, on scales of annoying, I've gota say the anti-fan wins hands down. I can't check any one of my regular sites without finding some form of Twilight bashing.

So I'm asking, please, can we move on from this?

No, seriously, I read all four and didn't like the series as a whole. Book 2 and parts of book 3 were decent though.

Hmm, I dislike Twilight but I guess I'm not an Anti-Fan since I would never spend so much time and energy on hating it.
I just don't care enough.
It's a bit weird to suddenly see this thread pop up. Would've made more sense 1-2 months ago, that's when Twilight-threads were riding high.
Somehow I get the feeling that you (OP) are actually trying to get the hate-threads back, while trying to cover this fact up.
We stopped caring long ago.

I don't like Twilight, and I don't like people talking about it, so I don't talk about it. That seems logical to me.

the problem is that it isn't a roance novel. It's technically a fantasy novel. I find everyone even remotely connected to the book annoying but yu stating a thead isn't helping.
