If you're like me and you want a medieval RPG romp to hold you over until Skyrim comes out, you may have been curious about Two Worlds II. Given the sorry reputation of the first Two Worlds, I've been waiting to see what critics say about it. Well a respectable reviewer (in my opinion, at least) finally has put their take on it up. Destructoid's opinion [http://www.destructoid.com/review-two-worlds-ii-192874.phtml]? It's...not bad. Sounds like it's a deeply flawed, but still very enjoyable experience. That's the least of what I was hoping for. Anyway, I just thought I would put this up since info on the game has been pretty scant.

So is anyone going to be trying this game? If you hated the first one, will you take a chance on the series again?

i just bought the first one on the GOG sale thing, only played like a half hour of it, but it isn't too bad so far. if two worlds II goes down in price ill probably pick it up for sure, otherwise there are so many games that have my priority first..

I bought 2 copies, so me and bro's could play online, then I played it for an hr and took my copy back to the store for dc universe. It isn't too bad, but not good enough to hold my attention when I have a pile of other things I could be playing. Been watching bro play who seems to like it, but I can't get into it. The voices esp piss me off, it's almost as bad has a youtube anime voice over dub.

Yeah, the game's not bad. It is joining the growing library of recent WRPGs from minor developers that turn out suprisingly good, like Risen, Venetica and the Drakensang games.

One thing that the review touches on and is undeniably true is that magic is crap, which is extra shameful because the magic system is pretty cool and open-ended. Heck, it kinda reminds me of the one from Magicka. You CAN play a mage, but it boils down to finding and exploiting a few broken spell combos and whatever AI glitches you can determine.

Well, honestly, I couldn't really care less about Jim Sterlings opinion. His opinion tends to be about as much use as a chocolate teapot and certainly not respectable, in my opinion. That said, I do think Two Worlds II looks interesting, I completed the first one when it came out, and although it was flawed to hell, it wasn't too bad. I probably won't pick it up yet, however when it comes down in price I'll probably nab it.

Definitely looking forward to this once I clear my small backlog of games. Fable III is pissing me off right now so I may just dump it for this.

Love the game so far, Co-op is a blast! :D
Most mediocre games get ratings boost when played co-op.

But it's nothing the game possesses and everything to do with who you're playing with that makes co-op fun.

Um... No I am pretty sure I am enjoying the games co-op because of how the game is. Not just because who I am playing with. Don't tell me how I enjoy a game.

Obviously you haven't played the game and if you did, it probably because it wasn't your type of game.
