Two Worlds II?

So, apparently Two Worlds II recently came out. So far I've looked at 2 reviews which both say it's a terrible game. At least, there's a lot of issues with it. At the same time it does look like it could be fun so my question is, who here has played it and what do you think?

I've played it. It's all right. It hits the RPG spot I was looking for to hold me over until Dragon Age II, but there's a good bit to hate (motion-blur headaches, voice acting, and a trifecta of awkwardness: animations, menus, and some controls). I know a few of us here have played the game and most people that I've heard either really like it or think it is just ok. I haven't heard much hate yet.

I'm surprised the Escapists aren't all over this tho. I guess people only like BioWare RPGs these days huh?

Sort of.

I for one, love it a lot, I have mainly put time only into its multi and not into its SP.

Also what reviews you looked at? IGN and another I assume?

Yeah IGN of course, who hated it. But then I checked it's meta critic and read a few more from there, kind of a random selection. But it seems a lot of user reviews are positive.

Nah its just the fact that the first Two worlds was terrible so everyone is acting cautious around this one.

I have heard that. I never played it myself. But it does seem that this one has a lot of good stuff going for it, and it's also in a lul right now for RPGs. They managed to get it out in NA before DA 2 and Witcher 2.

Oh, really? That's good news, I'll have to look into it. It really kills me when running inside of buildings. Thanks for the heads up.

Its a strange mix of awesome and terrible.

The animations suck ass, the voice acting is terrible, and motion blur is odd.

But the game is fucking beautiful, the combat is nice, things actually have uses, and way more detail went in a lot of things than you would ever expected. (IE: You actually move up and down things differently, arrows actually come from where they are, rather than the camera, etc.)

This seems to be what most reviews are saying. I watched a little bit of the gameplay on youtube. I have to say, the animation is hilarious. The main character looks like he's trying to speed walk. It's his shoulders. And the voice acting is obviously not top notch, but you know what? I can live with that.

I'm actually thinking I'll get this game, or at least the demo. Even with the bad aspects it seems like there's a lot of good stuff going on to make it worthwhile.

Well I played it last night. The first chapter is available free as a Demo. I actually recorded it so I might edit that tonight and post it on YouTube as a Let's Play. But anyway it's actually pretty good so far! The combat is ok, the voice acting isn't actually so bad. There's some pretty flat deliveries and the writing isn't amazing but it's still good. The graphics are quite nice too, the only real wierd thing is the animation (particularily running) but it's easy to ignore.
