So Krome studios released a game called Ty the Tasmanian Tiger in 2002 for the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. it was a pretty good game, the platforming was solid, no glitches or bugs and a decent soundtrack. ign gave it an 8 out of 10. I liked it, it didnt change or enlighten my entire perspective on gaming but it was never asked too. the thing is I've never heard from it again. no game website or forum has mentioned it. no reviewer has talked about it, no other game has referenced it or anything. it wasnt a bad game, it even became a trilogy. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue was released in 2004 and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3:Night of the Quinkan came out in 2005. both sequels got decent reviews too.

My question to you Escapist is: Has anybody heard of these games?

I rented it once, but I didn't find it to be anything special, really. Basically everything Julianking93 said above me.

I remember it and it was okay but i have sources saying that Crash Bandicoot found him and beat him to death on N.Sanity Beach.

I have played and currently own the trilogy. The game series is decent at best. I wouldn't mind a sequel either. But its sorta of...meh...

Just one of the games nobody really gives a flying shit about.

I've never heard of it. But from what everyone so far has said about it, I didn't miss much.

I read about it of course, being an Aussie developed Cube game. But no, I've never played it. Still, kudos on using a Tassie Tiger as a character.

I remember seeing a friend's brother play it once or twice at his house and while I can see why people would think it looked fun and why the gameplay looked interesting... as an Australian I took offence to a lot of the content of the actual game.

From the shameful Australian stereotypes being shoved on full display for all to see (which sometimes hit the realm of racist) to the incorrect depiction of some of the Australian wildlife and just generally I felt disdain because so much of it was America trying to do Australian and they really went too far.

Plus I'm pretty sure I once saw the final boss of a level being a giant mechanised ankylosaurus. THAT. ISN'T. AUSTRALIAN!!!

Okay, phew needed to get that rant outta me. So yeah apart from the way they depicted my country I thought it looked like an okay game, even though I never got to play it.

Heard of them, never played them. I remember being eleven years old, seeing an ad in an EGM, and thinking they were trying too hard to have a mascot with "attitude". I will forever remember it as the Bubsy of its time.

On a side note, does anyone remember Dr. Muto? Or Vexx?
