You guys aren't even trying(the first three)! I can say with certainty that EVERYONE has an accent. Know why? You're all saying that "I'm American, I have no accent", but my English-accented friend says the same thing, and there's definate differences

I can say that I've heard a lot of Americans pronounce their Ts as Ds. E.G. "Du Unided Sdates of Amare-ica"

Just say something aloud as if it were in a conversation (not deliberate and slow, but quickly like you were speaking to someone) and see what the noises out of your mouth actually are
Oi, I was trying! It's not my fault I don't sound like anything. I've just sat in front of a mirror talking randomly, and there is no difference between how it is spelled, and how it is pronounced. What do you want me to say. (I pronounce scones with emphasis on the O of course. The other way is for commoners.)
Say "I apologise for my lack of accent"

Also, I thought of another one: My Dad

He's from Dundee (Communist Capital of Britain, dontchaknow) and he picks up the accent when he visits relatives.

Hello, I'll have a pie. Oh, and an Onion one as well. Yes? Okay then

Eh-yeh, El ev eh peh. EH, Ananinganinganaw. Eyh? Ourkehden

What ever happened to the letter "U" in America?

Americans don't seem to pronounce it anymore.

"Yeah, I think weve got your friend in lockup, tall guy, dark hair, glasses, speaks in a monotone"

"Well that is the New Zealand accent"

I'm going to have a bath in that castle.

I'm going to have a barth in that carstle.

I'm from surrey in england and apparently have a slightly posh accent.
Americans, you can't say you have no accent, everyone has an accent. For instance, you always pronounce Mario as Marr-rio, whereas I pronounce it as Ma-rio. Thats a bad example as I can't think of a good way to type it, but hopefully you get what I mean.

Yes. I pronounced it, "I apologise, (not as in apollo, as in a-poll-e-gise) for my lack of accent, (not as in assent, as in ack-sent.) Happy?

we are, we are, we are, we are the engineers,
we can, we can, we can, we can demolish 40 beers,
drink rum, drink rum, drink rum, drink rum, so come along with us,
for we don't give a damn for any damn man who don't give a damn for us!

I actually don't have a strong accent, despite being raised in the Black Country in the middle of England (the accent is apparently similar to the 'Brummie' accent of Birmingham, but with subtle differences, not least the main one whereby if you ever call a Black Country resident a 'Brummie', you will be shanked...).

That said, I will participate, using the accent I should have from my hometown, rather than the accent I do have which is oddly enough somewhat more posh.

How are you? Did you see that horse just then? Big one, isn't it?

Ow am ya? Did yow see that 'oss then? Big'un, ay it?

This would probably work better if you guys refered to the actualy IPA vowels and constonents for spelling then you wouldn't have both Americans and English people arguing over who does and does not have an accent. On that topic I'd like to state that as a central Canadian I obviously have the most Idealized form of English accent... so there... DEAL WITH IT!!!

Most accents can't really be typed out phonetically, if you asked me what my accent was like i'd just have to say "normal".
