Gotta love rounded vowel Canadian speak, eh? Well actually, my accent can be all over the place. Sometimes it's a kind of Cockney accent, sometimes it's got some Chinese-like drawl, sometimes it looses it's more specific Canadian-ness. But I never use the American a-o. Ever.
