Hmm. No. Nope. Still not going to bother with Facebook. Sorry. I've seen browser games long before social networking, they aren't exactly exciting, and just pretty much force you to check on them regularly to not miss on single usable turn.

As long as people bend over at take it then this will keep happening. I talk about having a drawer full of games at one time. Now I have like 6 and anything more I put on my gamefly Q. Heck fallout New Vegas seems like the only games I will be getting any time soon. Thing I miss the most is replay ability.
I think the average consumer doesn't understand just how much power the can wield when they choose to make a purchase. Years of non-negotiable pricing and retail-mentality can place people into the mindset of "well, I don't have any say in the quality of this product, so I guess I'll have to pay more".
They have no idea that even in such a position, their choice of product matters.
If fewer people had that "disposable product" attitude and actually carefully considered what they were buying, we might finally see more value in our purchases.

Instead, the market it speeding towards an era where the consumer isn't purchasing anything; just a license the publisher can change or revoke at any time for any reason (including "more profits") without negotiation.

Most games feel like a one time play through and then your done. Oh heres some DLC that a copy paste room of the same thing you already seen 100 times and we will add a few lines of new text.
Reminds me of Borderlands for some odd reason..can't quite put my finger on it though...

God damn it, why it had to be facebook? I hate facebook, and I don't want to make an account just to have some buffs in AC: B.

On the other hand, the information that there WILL be Heroes of Might & Magic VI compensates it. I just love that series.

For the record to all of the people like "Man, I really don't want to join facebook just to play this.": It's broken to hell at the moment and won't even save your progress. Don't bother.

But I don't want to broadcast to all my 'friends' on Facebook that I'm play videogames quite a lot. I'm sure there are people like me in this same situation.
Our secret shame!

I absolutely despise facebook games but if the article is anything to go by it isn't essential so no big deal.

I played the game and it's fun for a FB Mafia Wars clone, and I like that it's the first FB game I've ever played that actually gets me something. I WANT those 5 extra throwing knives dammit!

It's really buggy right now though, I just lost 6 hours of progress. But I found a neat exploit, in that you earn INSANE amounts of Florins if you start buying up properties every time you get spare change. In that 6 hours I lost, I earned about a trillion florins! WTF?! Amd used it to buy MORE properties! If Mario Auditore was this rich, why did Ezio need to repair Monterrigioni?

Ah but it lets us learn the game! Hopefully they won't nerf the florins you get from properties, though... see my other post for exploit

Done just that myself. Several times. WISH IT WOULD FREAKING SAVE.

Also, did you read the mission description in chapter 3 for the one that needs an assassins guild? Seems there's a new modern day assassin helping your character out. I guess that will be how stuff you learn in Project Legacy makes its way over to Desmond and the gang.

HA! Guess what? Yup, they nerfed the Florins output! Now you only get to withdraw once a day, making it hard to drop your hourly income straight back into mmore buildings...

What if you'd rather stab yourself in the eye with a hep c infected needle than play a facebook game?
