anyway I got Assins creed 2 AGEIS ago......and surprisingly enough I actually sunk 20 hours into that game before I eventualy lost interest

it wasnt because I didnt like that game but it was because of the whole internet thing, my internet isnt bad its just severly limited, and I was always a little worried about how much it was using, basically data is somthing I have to save up and "spend" on important stuff...like the latest nostalga critic video or when I get a game on steam

anyway I probably wasnt using that much anyway

anyway they actually changed this, you dont have to be connected while you play but you have to be connected to launch...not as bad I guess but still annoying (in fact may not even be using less internet as the old systm..but still)

so anyway I just got back into assasins creed 2 recently (no spoilers please) I think its real friggen stupid the DRM actually prevented me from playing the game (I think they did the same with splintercell conviction....worth playing?..)

so yeah I dont know what the deal is with assasins creed Brotherhood...since it is an online game (am I going to have to get that once I finish AC2?)

EDIT: I do say "anyway" alot don't I?

have they learned that we really dont want to put up with that crap? or were there nough suckers like me to justify their decision?

They seem to not be using it in their current games, which is a good sign.

And if you can get conviction, i'd give it a try. My local game store is selling their copies for 99p and its worth it for that price. Hours of fun.

which was their most recent games?

anyway I supose they thourght they could get away with it because AC and splinter cell are big name games where people might be willing to put up with that in order to play them (or...you know, %99 of the time just pirate them, I dont suport piracy at all but somtimes DRM drives people to do so)

Well from what I've seen, Ubisoft has started to remove it from many of their recent games due to customer complaint.

I dont know what the deal is with new games, do you still have to be connected to launch? they should really phase that out as well like they need to check if I didnt pirate the game EVERY time I go to play

Ubisoft:"is that game Pirated?"
Me:"no"
ubisoft:"how about now?"
me:"no"
ubisoft"ok then.....HA! cought you!"
me:"nope its still a valid copy"
Ubisoft"oh....how abou-"
me:"NO!!"
Ubisoft"oh....well Ive got my eye on you!"

They seem to be dropping it. It appears whoever is in charge of Ubisoft's software protection grew a brain.
