Eh, slightly racial/stereotype jokes (Dave Chappelle and such) I can take.

Actual racism not so much.I hate that.

And the hardcore racists deserve the beatings that antifa delivers.

I think that Racism is too ambiguous and I hate ambiguity (did I spell that right?).

But yes, in the most commonly held belief of what it is, I believe it to be harmful.

I like putting on a southern american accent and say things about minorities. But actual racism is ridiculous.

I'm not sure how racism is ambiguous; either someone believes one race is superior to another, or one does not.

Racism is bad I think ... especially those stupid backward-ass foreigners who know nothing of tolerance. They should all go back to their native countries of origin!

^^;

People get some perspective, we are all racist in some way or another we just dont perceive it as such, for example the average European considers his/her culture far superior to that of say.. a native American despite the fact that they have had no experience of that particular culture whatsoever

I think it's fucking great, I hate black people.

Sorry, but what on earth were you expecting from this thread? All the closet racists to come out of the woodwork and tell you how much they hate black people? Of course it's bad. It is a cause of hatred and death. Not all racists are potential killers though, some are just ignorant. Like most of the people where I come from.

I must admit though, I am a sucker for a racist joke now and again. I know it's wrong, I just can't help myself. Abit like jokes about Princess Diana or lepers... I'm a bad person :(

I think rasism is bad but like it or not its proably going to keep going on somewhere out there someones making a racist joke, calling a black guy a crimnal(i mean no offence) or some cop is pulling a guy over because of the colur of his skin.

I think that, if any black person is offended by someone saying "hey, see that black guy over there" they are not proud of their black colour, and thus blames other people. So if someone is offended, he's a racist himself. Also: if I tell a friend of mine about "the black guy who lives next-door sure is a nice guy" and he says it's racist to call him black, he's being racist himself, as he differentiates(is that a word?) between people.

OT: I don't care about racism.

Well according to a program thats been on TV recently that says "depending on what race you are depends on how smart you are" and "How racist are you?" Unfortunately I never watched either, seems racism is on the rise or there just trying to get rid of it in the UK, since the BNP (KKK for English people) was on question time.

How come if a black guy calls another black guy a ni***r, it's ok BUT if a white guy says it he's a racist? Isn't that racist?

Personally, I am only racist to orange people, the kind who put that much make up or fake tan on they look like there dad is a wotsit (or a cheetos if your American), other than that I don't care what colour you are, it's not like you can pick ... like some kind of fallout 3 opening sequence!

I am the product of a black and white couple (with a native American grandparent). I'd like to know which race I supposedly find superior since "we are all racist".

I am sorry, but you don't speak for me. I also won't harp since I've already gone over this in this thread.

Black people didn't oppressed or enslave other blacks in America like whites did. There wasn't black supremacy, blacks were relegated to second class, not permitted to go to schools with, hospitals with, travel and eat with, or otherwise mix and marry with white people. It was against the law to marry blacks in America less than 40 years ago.

I think it's pretty boneheaded for anyone to use that kind of language to address others, I see whites calling other whites that word, blacks doing it, whatever the case may be. Fact is though, white people used it disparagingly (and unfortunately still do all too often) against blacks more so than without pejorative intent. As a general rule, as long as racism continues to exist as it does, we will still be offended when a white person calls a black person by that word. It would be unreasonable not to be offended when someone n-words me, and white people have right to my face without batting an eye.

I've been called that by blacks and whites, trust me when I say the difference is quite palpable.

Ok, someone just sent me a message, he wanted to know my opinion on racism, look a lot of you have been getting mad that i didn't put that down, so here it is.

I think that it's pretty stupid. Why? cause racism, is merely just like a joke only it means someone gets offended because they couldn't take the joke, and plus that's all we hear over the news tv and the streets (except for the war in Afhganistan and yes i know it's spelled wrong). Plus it seems that racism applies to everyone else but whites.

I know everything in the first paragraph, so that is kind of redundant.

I know people who have black friends (I don't cos I have never talked any long enough to be friends with them) and they say "it" to there black friends and there ok with it BUT Richard pryor said he hated the word even if another black person called it him or even made a racist joke ... even Chris rock has a famous sketch about it, I have seen a rapper (can't remember who) go on a documentary and find out the meaning of origins of the word and finally said "I don't like the word and I wont use it in my songs".

White people "invented" it as a derogatory term for black people, so there is no difference between a black guy calling you it or a white guy, although it all depends on context I guess.

Apologies, omega 616, I wanted to be thorough, and there are an alarmingly high amount of people that don't know much about history.

...and I think it was Ice Cube.

...and I agree completely that it's context, even though I'm really not fond of the old n-bomb either way.

<a href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9CSnlb-ymA>Everyone's a little bit racists sometimes. Racism isn't innately a bad thing. It is when people act upon it (especially on a large scale) that it starts to get bad.
Exactly, its people that make a big deal out of something that is in no way a big deal when it starts to become a big deal. People just need to chill out about some things and racism is definitely on that list.
Example: Election week last year. Someone gratified "fuck Obama" on a building and there was a huge uproar about it and everyone screamed "racist" which is odd since it that doesn't even imply racism. Someone could dislike Obama for his political stances, political plans, etc. However, later that week someone said they were voting for Obama because "his health care plan, his wants to end the war, oh yeah and because he is black" and people applauded. For some reason people didn't call racism on the comment that was actually blatantly racist.

I don't understand it.

The whole mentality about judging someone for the circumstances of their birth as opposed to what stupid crap they do while alive just doesn't make any sense to me.

I can't help but wonder... am I racist?

I mean I said 'fuck Bush' enough times that he is probably screaming rape every time I think those words! Does that mean I hate all white guys?

This thread is bs.

Too many of you are liberal pussies imo.

Racism is there because people of different races prefer to be around their own kin. It will always be there.

Racialism, which is the acknowledgement that there are differences between races, but not necessarily a hierarchy, is good.
What you say is simply ridiculous. I have genuinely enjoyed being around people of other races just as much as I have spending time with other whites. And I certainly hope it won't always be there because more and more people are intermarrying now. Try and explain that. The only differences between races are very superficial. Cultural differences are another thing altogether. Oh, and while I am a liberal I am certainly not a pussy. I will confront bigots and idiots and I am not afraid to shed my blood for my beliefs. I just won't shed the blood of others. If that makes me a pussy then to hell with that sh*t.
Races create Culture you ignoramous. Culture is the survival tool the human races use to compete in Natural Selection.

Furthermore, just because you provide some petty personal anedcdote, doesnt discount the way the human mentality works, which is a Tribal mentality.
