If our government is a joke it isn't very funny, I'm not laughing at all the retarded bullshit they've pulled since they gained power.

Higher taxes, higher tuition fees for education, etc.
All helps with the whole economic development thing and totally hasn't fucked us up completely.

OT: Why did it get this far? Stupid country...
I don't vote because I view all the politicians as liars, they waste our money on things we didn't need (e.g. Olympics) instead of spending it on things we do need (e.g. jobs, roads resurfacing not just a stupid patch job). And as for high tuition fees they promised they wouldn't raise them...they only kept them at the same price for current students (me luckily), I've given up caring.

WHAT THE FUCK? Whoever thought that was a serious threat needs to die in a fire.

This paints a perfect picture of the civilized world today. Everyone is raid of terrorists. We've all been conditioned to be afraid of EVERYTHING because EVERYTHING could possibly be a terrorist threat. We are losing our ability to laugh and enjoy life. I blame sensationalist media most of the time. And of course politicians and actual terrorists.

Holy crap finally! Wow, it was a bad joke but seriously the guy wasn't serious. Only push through with a prosecution if he genuinely was planning to blow it up, or caused fear... but common sense should have prevailed.

Mistakes like this within the justice system are nothing but incompetence. A waste of time, money, credibility and respect.

I just hope he gets his job security back, it is outrageous that somebody could be fired (twice) for that kind of thing.

I've been watching the olympics a bit but only because I've been without tv channels on vacation.

I got the lower fees too but now I'm thinking my course isn't for me, so I'm really rather fucked.

As for resurfacing, I'm assuming you live in England, as do I. In my experience it's only England that can't manage to resurface rads quickly and efficiently, whenever I've been to Scotland or Wales they seem to manage resurfacing a stretch of road very easy. I.e. I went to Skye, they resurfaced the entire islands roadways in a day, while it is a small place, that's a lot better than we get here in England.
