I want to be completely honest, I do not, and have never cared for the cross over Capcom games. I've played MvC2 and 3, and was not impressed. The SNK one was pretty decent, but I never found myself getting into like I did with most of the other fighters I've played, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, DoA, Melty Blood, etc. but I could just never get into it. As it stands, my care-o-meter is at a dead zero. Maybe I'll rent it for a bit, but, unless this makes some type of insanely huge epiphany, I have little to no interest in the future of this game.

Just like what they pulled with SF4, this one's only going to be 40 bucks.

I think I'll pick it up for my PS3, seeing as how I have MvC3 for my 360.

That's it I'm done buying capcom games when they're first released.
Done I say!

The way 'game of the year editions' keep coming out for other games I think I'm just going to be a year behind the times for everything anymore.

Until they add Phoenix Wright as a playable character, i'm not interested... If they do add Phoenix Wright I will buy the hell out of that game.

Oh and as for the whole rehashing thing, it does look like a slap in the face to the people who bought the original, but hey i'm assuming Capcom's developing and Capcom is famed for their terrible decisions
....they did.

I don't care, I'm still gonna buy it, because they put in Ghost Rider.

What more could you want? Oh, that's right, PHOENIX WRIGHT!

I am definitely going to buy it.

REALLY I just bought MvC2 today found out strider is totally amazing to play as then they tell me they're adding him to the new MvC3 I don't have the money to buy a new version. On another subject people who bought the collector's edition should get it for free like me just cause they paid $10 extra for two characters

Judging from your list of games (I admit I haven't played Melty Blood) it looks like part of your problem, especially since you pointed out that Capcom vs SNK was decent, is that the Vs series isn't designed for the "good" fighter. It's not dumbed down to the point of say Smash Brothers where you honestly only call it a fighter cus you have to put it somewhere but any idiot can pick it up and play it and have fun shooting enormous lasers. For the same reason I didn't much care for the vs Marvel series until now. After a decade of my Street Fighter fundamentals fading now when I play my friends I don't crush them and suddenly this is so much more fun.

What. The. Fuck. $40?! And there's no way to convert existing copies of MvC3 into this via DLC or something? That's a fucking blatant and shameless cash grab. Fuck you Capcom. I love MvC3, but fuck you.
They did allow players who already owned Super Street Fighter 4 to update to Arcade Edition for 15 dollars through DLC, so hopefully they'll take the same route with this.
As for the game itself, I do feel excited since a lot of new characters are being added to the roster but still have a small feeling that I got screwed over by Capcom.

Well, I'd like to think I'm not some type of elitist fighting game player, as, I must admit, I'm not very good at games. I've gotten to a certain point of passability with BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, and Melty Blood, but that's it. Though in a way, I guess it could be the simple lack of technicality. Maybe it's the same reason I'm indifferent on SF, the movelists aren't very extensive and I feel restricted.

Or maybe I'm just talking out of my buttocks, but you never know.
