OK, so here goes possibly the most screwed-up story today:

An 11-year-old girl from a country Victorian town gave birth to a child this year, allegedly to a 30-year-old man.

The 30-year-old man, who is a friend of the girl's grandparents, is in custody facing 18 criminal charges.

Honestly, I thought we were beyond this, and in Australia of all places.

You come here and see the weather, people, government and law system... And the media, OMG The MEDIA!
The biggest shock in political news in here was that, all parlamentarians in duty got a blanket in to their office paid from by tax money and they also got paid free language courses if it helped them to do their job. MY GOD THE HEADLINES!!!

And we are the promised land of atheist, thats true tho...
And granted our academic school work really well, unless it has something to do with computers and media.

Edit: Ok... I think you wont see this subjects as I do, since if you don't live in Finland, you don't know these little issues we have here. Over all, we function really well.

There was a story in the paper a few days ago, 10 year old successfully gave birth to her child, then moved back home with her boyfriend, also a minor. The relationship is completely legal, they just get the occasional check-up by local police.

That story was surprising on many levels. Also Australia, funny enough.

Shit, one that's been on the news lately: this 8-months-pregnant woman was drawing money from the bank, when some robbers walked in, shot her and her unborn baby at point-blank, and ran with the money. Umm... Where the heck you got Idea we hate gypsies and black people? We are fine with anyone who comes here, has a job and obeys the law. (And you are the one being the hater for using discriminating name of them, they are Romanians!)
If you want to see people who hate "gypsies" go to France. We just don't want them to sit front of the doors to malls and public spaces, and when I say front of the door sometimes they sit front of the door and block it. Making camps in urban zones (Private/public parking lots) Making open fire, using the trashcans as toilets, stealing electricity and making noise. I am not saying that every Romanian is like that. Just the ones I keep bumping in to when I walk down town...

The ones with fair jobs and obeying rules, no problem.

People in my hometown hate swedes more than black people, many young Finns do. Because we are mandated to learn Swedish in school and we hate it, getting force fed Swedish culture down out throats and demanded to accept and learn it so we can pass school...

Secret of getting along in Finnish society is to get a job and obey the law...
If you fuck up your status in Finnish society, thats it you become almost worthless but you still get help from the community...

yeah the dutch justice system is pretty fucked up you arent allowed to defend yourself or your house although if a burgelar would enter my house I wouldnt hessitate making the burgelar meet mr.sandman (cookie for refference)

Well, appearantly, due to DNA evidence found on a recent rape of a 17-year-old girl, a rapist has been going at it for well about 20 years now.

As is is now, they can link the same DNA to at least twelve cases of rape in that time.

It's entirely possible that the actual number is far higher though, seeing as many rapes don't actually get reported.

So yeah.

This guy has been going at it in one specific zip code for the last 20 years...

And not leaving anything that actually sheds light on who he is, exept DNA that can't be linked to him as he's not in the database (as you only get registered if you get convicted on a crime that can yield one and a half years or above).

The thought of mandatory DNA registering at birth is scary, but this kind of shit does shake my beliefs a bit...

Not being Dutch myself, I won't speak too loudly, but judging from how the hearts and minds of the people usually work, that seems pretty likely.

'Cause if there's one thing that makes me go "Um... wow..." about my country, it's the fact that two people have been killed for critisizing the Islam.
