Unconventionally attractive characters in video games

At some point, I think a lot of us have seen or just heard about some list people have made about the "best-looking" characters in video games. Characters like Lara Croft, Chun-Li, Maybe Tifa Lockheart always making lists like those because of how many people think they look attractive. And that's all well and good. But what I'd like to know if there are any characters in games that you find good-looking but don't necessarily fall into standard or traditional ideals of what "attractive" is supposed to mean.

For the record, you're welcome to discuss both female AND male characters on this list. Or possibly characters who are neither, because I imagine video games have made more than a few of those over the years.

I kind of have a weird "crush" (not really since he's not real) on Garrus. But it's majorly in part to his personality so I'm not sure if that qualifies if you're strictly talking about in a physical way. But

Spoiler: And this may not count since I'm pretty sure he is conventionally attractive (a lot of my gamer friends who are into dudes like super pretty boys) but Joel closely matches my type I go for as far as dudes go aka super DILF-tastic gives me heart palpitations in the grocery store seeing DILFs who fit this look... so I'm including him in my list

How about Visas Marr from Kotor 2, while she does have a shapely body her face is obscured behind a veil and her eyes are probably fried. I could definately see how one could consider her attractive while she doesn't exactly meet the conventional definition of attractiveness

Unconventionally attractive characters are usually my favorites anyway. Whose the most attractive character in Persona 4? The singer/model? The town beauty queen? Nope. This gorgeous girl right here:

I think Hanako from Katawa Shoujo fits here, I doubt anyone has a thing for girls with terribly permascarred faces but I think she's pretty cute in her own way. It's hard to describe, she's not even drawn in a way that goes easy on the scars for more conventional appeal at any point in the game. The game is always on the mark with the point that a disability is only a single part of a person in that way.

How KS was made by a bunch of randoms on 4chan I will never understand.

You have no idea how much that re-design makes me want to vomit. They honestly should have stuck with the more 'shamanistic' approach they were going for with the original concept art, especially when the thing they actually went with looks so goddamn ridiculous. She went from an old lady to some sort of bad JRPG knock-off...

Totally agree. Dragon Age 2 is just an abomination of awful choices from tip to top, and Flemeth's "sexy" (bleeeuuurg) design embodies all that.

On a slightly more normal note, I always found Jak to have gotten incredibly more attractive in the second game. And I think Adam Jensen is hot, douchebag hair cut and all. Maybe it was the intermittent shirtless loading screens, or maybe the goatee, dunno. He was attractive and I'm thrilled that he's back for Mankind Divided.

Hey, no worries. He does have a pretty sexy voice. And I think Thane's pretty attractive, so... I mean, yeah, he's this weird fish man, but he also has a nice voice and his fringe thingy looks so... pettable. I don't know. Also A+ tailoring.

Really, considering Inquisition, I think BioWare just has a knack for making unconventially attractive dudes. Like yeah, yeah, Cullen and Dorian are hot (Dorian especially - damn son) but I still argue Solas is pretty attractive too. I know he's old and bald but... he has such pretty blue eyes. And a Welsh accent. How the hell am I supposed to resist that? Blackwall's not so bad either, on that point...

I eventually ended up with Cullen but, ugh, picking a romance in that game was so hard.

Personally I would be okay with the redesign (I mean, she is Flemeth, she can dress however silly she damn well pleases), but the hair... oh my god, the hair! Who the hell thought that hairstyle was in any way or shape a good idea?!

She's in her fifties, she's paralized from the waist down (she shits in a plastic bag), and she barely has any hair. And yet I find her quite attractive. And no, I'm not into kinky disabled stuff or anything.

I can't really put my finger on it, but she's cool, she's classy, and she's just, I don't know... kinda sexy.

Uhh, how do I contribute to the thread... SR2 Shaundi before her ridiculous SR3 remake? Maybe not unconventionally attractive though. Really struggling to come up with something, usually I'm better at this sort of thing. Luna in Harry Potter? They had... games of HP... okay it's a stretch.

I dont think i've ever been attracted to video game characters before, though some can be enthralling and visually enticing in non lustful ways. They always feel a bit too "programmed" to be attractive, which of course is the truth, but I think that is what puts me off them. Knowing they were created purposefully to attract, feels like an attempt to manipulate me.
To go against the grain, although I'm considered straight (whatever my past says about me), I thought the main dude from Tales from the borderlands has a very attractive sense of humour and general personality of lightheartedness in terrible situations. Not sure if that is a non-typical attrictive thing. I guess not.
Oh does Jade from Beyond good and evil count? I really did like her style quite a bit.

You're right Madwarper, expect nowt less from the cash in cop outs that are Bioware. "Sex it up to sell!". But as Casual Shinji says, the starting tone was some way off that with Flemeth.

Flemeth's role in DA FELT like that of an old, Hanzel and Grettle wicked witch made real. Not some super seductress.

My girlfriend thinks Adam Jensen is hot too. Although that might be because when I put on a black trench coat and some shades I look a lot like him.

I always feel a little wrong when I fight Quelaag and I can't stop thinking about how hot it is. And I'm not talking about the lava-spewing spider.
