Shame!
Mentioning Skies of Arcadia as a Gamecube game... Any self respecting RPG fan would have bought it long before for the dreamcast.
Hell, if you owned a dreamcast, then you had underappreciated games. Even more so if you own a saturn.
Pretty sure Legaia 1 was a ps1 title
Here are some real gems:
Elemental Gearbolt (fantasy based light gun game, really good) PS1
Shadow Madness PS1
Kodelka PS1
Front Mission 3 (generally, most square games are never underappreciated, but this one really didn't catch peoples eyes)
Most Working Designs games have a cult following, but some are complete crap like Alundra. True fans have the Sega CD for Lunar, and the PS1 version. It's kinda hard to call a game underappreciated when it gets re-released on another system.
All final fantasy games are at least appreciated enough (and more than likely overappreciated). Dragon Quest games fall in this category also. Breath of Fire games, Ultima, Elder Scrolls games, Kotor, baldurs gate and anything that is still beloved and on the gamefaqs top ten faqs list for it's category, as well as being named game of the year are all right out of the question for underappreciated games.
If anybody ever mentions Fable as underappreciated... shit will hit the fan.
