This just came to my mind as I was watching Ant-man. But Michael Pena is just a fantastic actor, but to me it seems he is so underrated! He is becoming bigger, and he is landing some great roles, but it seems like no one ever talks about him.

Seriously, he has been great in pretty much every movie I have seen him in. End of Watch, Fury, and now Ant-man off the top of my head. Not to mention that each of these roles is fairly diverse.

He was the highlight of Ant-man, just hilarious in every scene.

What actor or actress do you think needs more attention? I would love to look out for more talented but hidden individuals.

Speaking of Ant-Man, Corey Stoll is another great actor who has done a superb job in flying under everybody's radar even though he's been turning great acting jobs for years. Mark of a good actor if you ask me. I was sure that he was like three different people until I realized they're all the same guy.

He was good as the villain although I felt the script for his character was so cliche, I guess. I don't know he just felt empty, although Stoll tried his darnedest to give Yellowjacket some charisma and complexity. That seems to be a recurring problem with Marvel movies, the villain is always lacking.

What other movies has he stood out in?

Sam Rockwell, Jim Caviezel, Tamoh Penikett.

I'm sure there are others, but those are the 3 I can think of offhand.

January Jones.

And see, more than likely the very reason you're about to say no is why. Her performance as Emma Frost was not her fault. The original actress had to drop the part very VERY shortly before shooting, they had to grab January last second PLUS the directors (claim) they had to completely re-write like half the script for Emma Frost because some of her scenes were too similar to Inception.

I mainly liked him as Hemingway in Midnight in Paris and as the brother in Dark Places. He also had a (small) part in Black Mass. And yeah, Marvel villains always kinda suck, but I liked the "gusto" with which at least Stoll imbued such a characterless character.

Actually I found him insanely irritating in Ant-Man in just about every scene he was in. The only scene of his that I liked, well 2 scenes, was the first scene in the van, where he is rattling off all the terrible things that've happened to him in the past year. And then later when
He stops to go rescue that security guard he knocked out, because he just couldn't let the guy die when he was just trying to do his job.

Every other time he opened his mouth in that movie, I felt my skin crawl and my blood pressure rise.

Hehe, it is just my type of humour. Just people who are completely silly but that is just who they are. I did grow up watching Seinfeld and Friends though, those silly guys.

Back it up, just backing it up. Yep, backing up...

I agree with your Sam Rockwell. He is really diverse. I saw him in Moon, and was like, damn this is the same guy who played the psychopath in The Green Mile!

Scott Adkins. He's not Oscar material by any stretch, but he's a phenomenal martial artist and athlete who does great fight scenes and is very likable, but for some reason he's just never clicked as being an A-list Hollywood action star, even though he could run circles around most 'action' actors today.

And still agree heavily with the argument people made years ago that he should have been Batman/Bruce Wayne instead of Christian Bale.
