underrated? I thought it got pretty favourable reviews I sorta remember general 7s and overall praise for it, negatives being some features like save system and difficulty? dont know it has been a while I have never played XIII so my opinion on it is pretty much null and void but I did buy it for a friend as a birthday gift after he said he would like it and I dont think he ever played it either.
I did like the art style from what I saw but I am not exactly excited about this and cant see it attracting a large audience. Most people will probably compare it to borderlands on art style alone anyway and be upset when they find its completely different.
On a side note wasnt it XIII that had a realistic difficulty setting where one bullet could potentially kill you? or am I remembering that wrong?

Cool, the first game was great, lets just hope it doesn't bend over to all the modern FPS trends.

Fantastic! XIII is one of my favourite games ever, if not THE favourite. I've even just started reading the comics out of affection for it. I love random, unexpected-but-brilliant news of this sort. I might just have to buy a games console for this...
XIII was awesome, would be nice to have a worthy sequel. One of the more unique fps games I played on the Xbox of old 
This was my thought as well. Less than a month from release and yet there's so little coverage of it anywhere on the internet. Also why only PC, Mac and iOS? Where's the console version?Mcoffey said:

OT: Anyway, I recently bought the first game again and recieved it today, which is a really odd coincidence. I traded it in years ago and had a sudden urge to play it again a few days ago. Perhaps my XIII sense was trying to tell me something. Can't wait to play the original and get my hands on the sequel!
I was disgusted with the end of the previous game so much that I never even played it afterwards.
This time I'll make sure they don't try to pull that crap again before even considering buying this game.
While the original game looked really good for it's time, cell-shading isn't that special anymore so the game will have to do better than just being linear shooter.

The first game had a certain amount of style, I'll grant, and the soundtrack was good. The level set-up, weapon distribution, save system, disk-switching, stealth mechanics, use of gimmicks, and voice acting...
