It isn't Blizzard. They are just trying to hack into your account. Forward the message to Blizzards customer service and move along.

The problem with these scams is that they're too popular.

When you get 4 or 5 different emails from all different adresses, all worded differently and all claiming to be from the same company, all claiming that your account information is being tampered with, then you know it's a scam.

Especially as I have no account information with the company in question.

I'd actually go in and contact Blizzard, and let them know that someone is phishing. It will let them release info to actual players, keep their costs down, and hopefully let them bring the price of Starcraft 2 down, because I am not paying 60 bucks for it.

I wish someone would hack my old account. Hate thinking about all that awesomeness I earned just sitting there collecting dust.

That was actually pretty hilarious lol. You should put it on Fail Blog.

I've always wanted to play WoW. Never have. Played Runescape for an awful long time, though.

This man speaks the truth. EVERY EMAIL YOU RECEIVE IS A PHISHING SCAM. BE AFRAID. PARANOIA IS YOUR ONLY REFUGE.
*checks*
Yea, definitely not a man. >.<
A little paranoia isn't a bad thing. I try to rely more on logic and common sense but whatever keeps you from feeding the phishers works for me.

It's not a legit email. It's linking you to a keylogger. Even if the email adress looks legit, it isn't.

It is a phishing scam. They are trying email addresses that they have farmed from somewhere in order to get account info from people. It is not from Blizzard and any of the links will go to some other site most likely made up to look official but it isn't. Just ignore it.
Aye, that's probably the case.
After I got hacked in WoW I've gotten tons of mails from "Blizzard". Was even stupid enough to click on one of the links the first time, but luckily my computer was smart enough not to let me go to that website.

I got this in chat while playing WoW many times. It was just some dumb hacker trying to trick me into giving him my account.

Wait, you don't even have a WoW account... that is weird. Is the hacker that retarded.
With 11 million accounts, it stands to reason if you send out a few million e-mails you'll find a few people who have accounts and some portion of that population is dumb enough to fall for the scam.

Yeah I get about 5 of these a day. It's just spam as mentioned above. In all reality unless you are expecting a message from blizzard, it's a trap.
Its phishing attempts. Block them and move on.

I've been getting messages like that from "Blizzard" for months. Ignore them, they're scams.
