AssaultCube looked crappy when I first got it, but as it downloaded I remembered it used the Cube engine.
Sauerbraten was the most expectably good game I've ever played....
RECOIL didn't look too great either. I thought, "It's a 1999 tank game, how good can it be?"
How wrong I was....
