unfinished games

Have you ever played a game you felt was unfinished?
By unfinished i mean that there can be a lot of bugs, or sudden ending or something?

For me its gotta be True Crime: Streets of NY. So many bugs, i almost it barely had been playtested.

How about you?

Dark Sector, oh god Dark Sector. There's so much wrong with it that could've easily have been fixed, there's no way it was 'finished' when they 'finished' it.

I guess Left 4 Dead but that always leaves it open for sequels like Left 4 Dead 2 and knowing Valve probably more.

Assassin's creed. It was nowhere near long enough.

I think Knights of the Old Republic 2 takes the cake here. The ending doesn't make a ton of sense in the best of circumstances, and a lot of bugs hamper it even further at the end. Thankfully there's a mod out now for the pc version that stitches it back together..

Ninety-Nine Knights. It was a pretty average game, but the story just was rather confusing, and it changed drastically from character to character. Also, the separate characters were developed in completely different amounts. My favorite character, the wizard chick, forgot her name, only had three levels, while my least favorite character had the longest campaign, about 8-9 levels.

It was just, lacking.

Modern Warfare 2, Kotor2, Halo 2, Prototype, Assassins Creed 1.... and Supreme Commander 2.

Those were the ones that really caught my attention.

KotOR 2. I know it's an obvious one but dammit, it was unfinished. A whole damn planet was taken out! A planet!

I love KotOR2 though.

Also if we're talking about games which never seemed to reach the bug testing stage: Anything by Bethesda in the past...since Morrowind.

Some of my favorite games are unfinished. Funny how that works, probably part of the whole 'reaching for the stars' parable.

Regardless, Kotor 2 really does take the cake. It was literally unfinished, as in not done when the game was shipped. Shame too because the game had great potential. On the plus side there's a mod for the PC version that does a damn fine job of fixing that, but still, shame the game was shipped that way.

I just finished Fallout 3 for the first time. I usually get as far as Vault 112 and then just dick around and have a gay ol' time. This time I played almost right through doing only side quests that popped up in the process and not exploring the wastes at all (Um...except to get Ol' Painless and Charon) and all I could think was, "Are you kidding me?" The game seemed way to abruptly ended and way to short. I can see now why views are so polarized on it.
