"Those were my sons you murdered..." Well its not exactly a good idea to leave your sons in the hands of an unstable Assassin and tell him to only save one villager... Excellent episode, although I hope petey returns to the show soon...

1. How did the flare get so big?
2. Why did the wizard not have a monicle?
3. Why was the flag not red like the wizard said it would be?
4. Why not throw Gaary? He would respawn later anyways...
5. Why am questioning the episode so much?
1. Critical Hit.
2. Who said it was a Wizard? Gaary and Schmoopy call him a "Wizard guy".
3. It was. Colors are a bit off on Escapist videos, wait for the DvD.
4. Still one short. Whats the point?
5. I don't know and I never will.

Awesome episode. I watched the entire series today. I really liked the begining episodes best, probably because I could relate to Rob, randomly checking for traps (which I've noticed he should do more often, in just 2 episodes he's fallen down a trap door and activated an acid river) and killing anything that moves towards you. Then looting the corpse for all its worth. Anyway, I thought this is one of the funniest episodes in a while, loved the expression on his face and the whole "You didn't have to murder anyone! Those were my sons!" was awesome. I was kinda off predicting what would happen this episode though. at first I thought schmoopy would just kill the wizard. Then I thought he would reveal his genius again by throwing in the wolf, gaary, and nailo into the acid, then, using the stone to become a cleric, resurect nailo. But as soon as he points out that the quest only requires them to save one villager, I knew what would happen.

You know, in the end, it was the wizards fault. Tie your loved ones to a stake, surround them with acid, then send adventurers to save at least one of them, odds are you're not getting all your loved ones back.

I have to say something I've noticed. Nailo is reluctacnt to kill, but he takes barely any peer pressure before killing a begger, two people he thought were princesses, essentially killing an entire party of adventurers, and most recently killing to inocent villagers, and he's probably complained about it a whole 10 seconds worth during the course of the entire series. He is really evil, isn't he? more so than Timmy the Evil.

As for why thsomeone would even bother saving all three:
1- Most players would stop because of their morals would prevent them. In particular those who play VERY in-role during the game wouldn't want to throw kill a character as it goes against their alignment.
2- The other thing is, because it says one villager, it doesn't say WHICH villager and some other players would save all three just to figure out who they were suppose to save in the first place.

But yes, the moral of the story is don't put those you love at risk... I guess he simply didn't believe they'd die.

Having just recently discovered "The Escapist" and having been an old old fan of the Unforgotten Realms series (on newgrounds) watching all of the new adventures was an absolute treat. I love the multitude of characters brought in as opposed to the older series, but would really like to see a bit of a return to the style of old. More cuts between real life and role-playing life, more real life interaction and the like.

Still, a great series and I'm overjoyed to have found the new episodes and look forward to a coninuing saga!

I kinda miss where the episodes lasted 15 minutes but I guess they had to cut them short. Leaves more anticipation for the next episode. ^_^ I've just caught up to the series and I love it. Great job and I can't wait to see more.

I agree, the episodes are a bit short, that episode does leave me wondering what could be at the top of the tower. Or what other bizarre twists can the producers put to the following tasks after the bemusement of kitten-sounding buttons and "villiger"-murdering antics?

Your living in a fantasy world. I only think 1 maybe two of the episodes ever went over 15 minutes and it was doable because I had a buffer before it. IE before the series started, I had four episodes already completed. Not to mention that was BI WEEKLY.

4 to 6 minute episodes a week is the norm and I feel it's for the better. That is likely not going to change anytime soon until me and the rest of Escapist live on a boat off some tropical island drinking wine and high fiving all day long.

Rob does all of the NPC voices (starting from chapter 1) except where Mike steps in to stamp reality upon him. The voices all sound alike deliberately.

I do a lot of voice acting myself, and Rob is obviously running out of voices (but who wouldn't after all these episodes). It doesn't bother me because he is still trying his best to keep the show fresh. I appreciate his hard work and dedication, and coming up with a new voice for a new character is not as easy as it may seem.

Has nothing to do with Running out of voices.

Their are only TWO CHARACTERS. All the NPC characters should sound like either Mike or Rob.
