So, there's this guy I know called Richard William Power.
Or, in other words, Dick Willy Power (and that is what he shall be known forever by everyone I can talk to).

So, do you know anyone with such unfortunate names such as this?

Some guy that I knew in high school had the last name Love. His dad was named Richard, and was a dentist. His mom's name was Gay. His dad, then, was either Dick Love, Dr. Love, or Dr. Dick Love. His mom was Gay Love.

I swear I'm not making this up. It was hilarious!

Ancestors must've taken that when Napoleon insisted that Dutch people get surnames in 1811, so a lot of people took joke names thinking it wouldn't stick (like Naaktgeboren, de Kaizer, Poepjes etc.)

I am not kidding. Poor girls had very poor tempers (understandably). In addition, Brook liked to talk a lot, so the teachers ended up further humiliating her with the nickname 'babbling brook waters'
