Not BAD, mind you, but hilarious.
It's a Schwarzenegger film, none of it is serious. It's an action flick from the 80s, none of it is serious, just a flimsy pretext for a blood-explosion-extraordinaire.
Of course, but it does not try to be funny either.

I saw the title of this thread and immediately thought of this. It's not actually a movie, so cut me some slack, but it is pretty funny.

The Serpent and the Rainbow.

It was supposedly a voodoo horror movie that scared the pants off many a people who watched it. So why was it unintentionally hilarious?

Everything. But nothing beat the end scene that made me say "WHAT THE HELL?!" louder than this scene...

At the end the protagonist and antagonist meet in a dream-world and the protagonist MERGED WITH A CHEETAH'S SPIRIT to kill the antagonist.

It had no sense and came out of NO WHERE. The movie became too hilarious after that, thankfully it was over soon after otherwise I might've laughed up my lungs. It was pretty bad. It had no horror factor but maybe one scene, everything else was just hilarious.

Fucking exploding CGI birds how hilarious can it get?

The Room, it's a great movie because it's a badly made movie, the acting is bad, the plot and side stories are stupid and there isn't really anything else interesting about it, but it's also really hilarious and unique.
The Room still is number 1 for me with Birdemic being a close second.

Damn ninjas mentioned 10,000 BC already so I'm going to have to go foreign: Australian stinker Rapid Fear.

Some time ago, back when I was living in Calgary, a couple of old friends of mine came down from Toontown to celebrate. We all eventually decided to watch a scary movie and they turned to me, the movie expert of our group of friends, to choose one. Well, I had just recently found Rapid Fear in Walmart's $5 bin and picked it up because it sounded intriguing and had an excellent cover. Plus, Aussie horror at the time hadn't done me wrong, with titles like Undead and the horror-com Evil Aliens. We made our decision after reading the back, which included the ominous line "Someone, or something, doesn't want them to survive...".

I would call it the worst decision ever had it not been an excellent unintentional comedy. We ripped on that fucker all night and many lines from the film have become inside jokes, such as "You managed to find the only spot on the river without water." and "Yeah, We Should!"

This is not a recommendation to hunt it down, but if you have a chance to buy it for $2 or less, pick it up because it'll provide excellent fodder for jokes and general mocking.

the entire american ninja series, they are so bad they are funny. a random ninja minion throws a ninja star at the protagonist, who catches it and throws it right back, the ninja star hits the random ninja minion in the head... ninja stands there for 3-5 seconds (possibly trying to remember what he should do next... he then remembers) and then falls over dead... so bad my friend and I nearly fell off our chairs laughing

Jaws 3
It's really funny how it tries to be scary, hahahaha.

In one scene, the shark breaks open a cage it is trapped in with the force of its tail by simply moving it back and forth until the power of the water blows it apart.

Teeheehee.

Arnold at his most outrageous, at his best.
OMG OMG OMG YES, I actually memorized the entire dialogue for that movie, not that hard really considering it consisted of a series of cheesey one liners all been cobbled together, another notable mention in the same vein was "The Running Man" also featuring the great erm "entertainment" talents of Arnie.

See also "Every fucking action movie that Arnie has done."

I love 'em all.

The Room
The director said that it was actually all just a joke, but I don't believe him. I think he was legitimately trying to make a serious drama, and failed... hilariously.
Oh, he was. I think some of the crew members testified to that.

Oh, and if he wasn't, why take down Internet reviews of your movie that actually recommend it because it's so bad? If "bad" was your intention, they are praising you.

OT: Oh, right, The Room, of course. Also, Catwoman's pretty funny.

My friend and I, being the Shakespeare nerds that we are, as well as actors in our school's production of the play, just watched the 2000, modern movie version of Hamlet with Ethan Hawke... and it was hilarious. In fact it was probably one of the funniest movies I've seen in months. It really, really shouldn't have been, what with it being derived from Shakespeare's brilliantly written tragedy magnum opus and all, but there was just so much to laugh at, from the blatant product placement, to most of the actors staring blankly off into space while being talked to, to
that it became so bad it was good. So, Escapists, what movies, or anything else, really, have you seen that were hilariously bad?
I watched that movie in English class earlier this year, and I laughed out loud when Polonius was killed. If he had said "I am slain!" like he does in the actual play I would have peed my pants.
My friend and I started laughing after Polonius was killed. Gertrude's flat "Oh" just killed any drama that could possibly be salvaged from the already hilarious scene... and then Hamlet wrapped Polonius' body in a sheet and dragged it into a locker room... and then stopped to call his mom on a payphone... and then took the bloody sheet to be washed at a laundromat... where he is caught within two minutes. Great planning there, Hamlet.

By the way, what kind of English class had you watch that version of Hamlet? We saw the four hour, Branagh version.
