Unknown acronyms

I have been on the web allot but I always find an acronym that I have never heard of before.

Simply post ones that are used that you were like wtf when you saw them.

Ex: LQTM (Laugh Quietly To Myself)

While I was sure the last three letters were for the World Trade Center, I didn't know what the first two meant.

Of course, now that I know what it means, it annoys the crap out of me for different reasons.

I hate acronyms, the only one I use is LOL and that is only used in a text message. Or possibly on the internet if i decide my attempt at sarcasm will go unnoticed.

And I use this ONLY because it has effectively become a word in it's own right. When was the last time somebody actually used it because they laughed out loud?

For the longest time, the only real acronymn that confused me was TTHTI. Someone would say that instead of BRB.

Once I learned what it meant, and that he was using it as a euphanism for "I'm going to take a piss," I realized that I really should pay more attention to the Net so I don't use it in the wrong context.

That reminds me a of a funny shirt I got suspended from high school for wearing. In the vein of the I<3NY T-Shirts, I made an I[Picture of an airplane]NY T-Shirt for myself. Good times...

Since I'm writing a plot analysis of BioShock at the moment, ADAM's really pissing me off. All the letter's are capitalized in virtually every in-game instance of the word, so I'm led to believe it's an acronym. But for what, I have no idea.

In general, it's been a long time since I encountered an IM/BBS acronym I haven't been able to recognize. I guess this means I'm up to date with this stuff?
