And in the spirit of this thread, I still don't know what exactly LULZ is......
The bastardization of the plural of LOL. As in LOL's. Thus I DID IT FOR THE LULZ.

I never knew what "FTW" meant and always thought it meant "fuck the what" and i was always annoyed when people said it, but today i went on urban dictionary and it said it means "for the win" which still confuses me because i don't see how that phrase is relevant in any conversation except in a pep talk.

It's like saying, "With that comment, you win the discussion/game/whatever."

I too at first thought it was like saying, "Let's win this!" But no, it's to tell someone they did good.

That's actually from when people used snail mail (you know, the postal service) and would write P.S. to signify that they were going to add a comment to the body of the letter. Like getting another comment in before closing.

It means "post scriptum."

Well, think of a sports announcer doing a play-by-play. Let's use a basketball game for the example. "The score is tied. Johnson passes to Jones. Jones back to Johnson. Johnson to Smith. Smith shoots. It's a three-pointer for the win!"

So on the Internet, it's supposed to be like, "This is the final shot that won this argument."

PEBKAC -- Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair -- My computer buddy used to say this to me all the time when my computer would break down.
A friend also told me about that one, and today I found out about the dreaded "ID Ten T" error (written as ID-10T). Figure that one out.

what are we doing with Cannonballs?
Firing them at anyone who tries to come up with the new 'lol'

Uhhhh... does anything that isn't from the internet count? Because I always liked LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation)

And CAT Scan (Computerised Axial Tomography).
