As I'm angrily glowering at the painful spot on my right arm, I'm wondering: Have you ever found yourself in a rather unlikely situation? By any standards? It could, for example, be a completely random chain of events, or a common occurrence taking place in an uncommon setting.

I'll kick things off. Want to know why there's a painful spot on my arm?
Because I got stung by a ginormous wasp.
In the shower.
What the hell?!? D:<

A Hermit's Cave
Talking of bugs/creepy crawlies etc... thanks to my years working in an insect lab, I am now free of any squeamishness in handling them. Now I just glare at them if I don't like 'em, or think how cute(!) they are... bee-drones feel fuzzy!

OT: My uni interview - there I am sitting in a room shitting myself along with a whole load of other similarly nervous students... a number that is slowly whittling down. I'm the last one left... fire alarm goes off and scares the crap out of me. Half an hour later and I'm finally in the interview room. The lead interviewer calls me by the wrong name... and quizzes me on all the shit I not only hate, but no little about still assuming I'm this other person. On the way out, I'm blindsided by the senior tutor... and after all that, got a generous offer.

When I first moved into undergraduate halls, my housemate's girlfriend was living with one of my friends from back home, so they used this to convey all sorts of creepy information to freak me out.

Also I've stepped on a drawing pin in the shower, but a wasp definitely tops it.

I was reading A National Geographic article about the Nazca lines in the library. Inevitably, the arachnoid picture reared its head, and guess what descended gracefully from my hair? An itsy-bitsy spider.
Spiders seem to like me, for some reason.

I would have freaked. Totally. Probably earned myself a ban from the library, too.
I once woke up in the middle of the night because something was tickling my face. When I opened my eyes, I found a whole bundle of eyes staring back at me, from about 2 centimetres away. ************ was almost as big as my palm... I thought my scream would bring down the roof.

I'd gotten out of a pool once and whilst trying to change my towel fell apart a bit to reveal my, um, yeah, just as someone was passing. I don't know if he saw or not but I'd rather never find out.

Does finding my remote control in the refrigerator count?
Seriously, that's about all I can think of.
