dont worry about it if your a nice charming person people will love you thats how i got my girlfriend she was a huge ***** that fucked up half of freshman year but that just proves that you shouldnt rush into anything (and that i can be a massive idiot sometimes) but im a few days away from taking my drivers test i have a new friend that could become more soon
but the point is dont worry everything happens in its own time trying to rush towards it will show you that you missed something very important
but now i sound like a complete tool so im going to stop here

I was 17 when I started dating. I haven't been successful as I don't have a girlfriend anymore but that doesn't matter. The universe and my charms will eventually lead me to the girl I'll live with forever.

i just finished reading the scott pilgrim comics and thought to myself how nice it would be to have a girl in my life. suddenly it dawned on me that i havent ever had a girlfreind, or like anything even resembling that sort of relationship with a girl. its not like im some forty year old virgin (brilliant film) but i cant help but feel that at eighteen i really should have done a little more by this point. wondering have you guys ever gotten that sort of feeling or have you always had gals/guys in your more intimate life

Bawwwww, you would consider yourself a failure if you didn't have a girlfriend before you graduated highschool? i understand there is alot of pressure from peers and society in general but its not the end of the world. Highschool is a very very very very small portion of your life.

Holy shit! Thats exactly what I did in 6-7th grade, only it was less due to looking for love and more because of watching Gurren Lagann (atleast one tenth of my posts so far probably mention Gurren Lagann. Damn, I'm obsessed with it.)

Ehh, its complicated but one of my friends just broke up with his gf of like 3 years and has now set his sites on her. I mean I grew up with this guy. I don't really wanna cock block him. So uhhh I told her how I feel and maybe after the weekend I'll ask her out.

Relationships...well, girls, don't get me wrong are nice to be around. They smell better, have very soft skin, are usually nicer than most men...oh and the boobs. Can't forget about the boobs. But trust me, its a headache that can be very tiring to deal with especially in High School (My last two relationships have taught me that most girls in High School, no matter how smart, all have an off the charts, bafflingly high amount of crazy). I've felt the same way. But then I usually realize that I don't actually need a girlfriend. It probably doesn't apply to everyone else, but I'm perfectly happy the way I am now. I've got a bunch of friends, even plenty of girls that are friends, and I don't feel like I need a single person that deserves so much more than others. I'd be open to it if I got asked out by a girl (not likely,) or if I could see some real interest from somebody, but I just see everyone as friends to love.

So I suppose no, I haven't really felt that way OP.

Edit: my point is, there's a good chance you'll meet someone when you're not expecting anything and it will turn out spectacular. When you're trying, you might be trying too hard.

See I have an entirely different dilemma on my hands right now. At 23 I've been on a few dates and had pseudo-romances that didn't go anywhere but never really had a solid girlfriend. Now I've finally met a girl I'm genuinely interested in aaaaaannnnnd I just got a potential job offer to work literally on the other side of the planet. So now It's like do I ask her out anyway and see where it goes or do I bite the bullet and bugger off to the other side of the world for a year. Or hell do I go out with her and then try to do a long distance thing if I get the job. Goddamn it life never gets easier does it.
