Unpopular Opinions

Everyone has an opinion on almost everything. But some opinions a person holds is an outlier among a group of opinions. Usually, said people with unpopular opinions can usually get flack for it. Do you have any unpopular opinions? Remember, respect each other's opinions. We don't need a flame war.

Mine is that I really didn't mind Transformers 2. Call me a sucker for action, but it didn't bother me as much as it did for others.

My best friend recently said, "I don't like pizza because of its texture". I love her and all but that right there isn't right!!!

My favourite episode of Star Wars is the Phantom Menace. Yes, I even like Jar Jar Binks.

Gen I did not have the best starter pokemon, that honour belongs to Gen II.
I agree, actually, but the gap isn't wide. I'd still say that Gen 1 in its entirety is probably the strongest.

The rest of what you posted is... Is... very disagreeable. I won't quote it, to avoid losing my cool.

I felt the new Star Trek movies are an exciting re-imagining of the classic crew and would love to see an ongoing 5 year mission series with them.

I agree with that one...the idea of Batman, especially when the Joker is involved, is very silly, and not something that realy lends itself to being very deep and serious. The Joker needed to be playing on god mode the whole time to get away with all the stuff he was up to, and he can't in a serious film.

I'd also add that I liked Batman and Robin. Very silly, but it was supposed to be.

Steve Jobs was an asshole and a figurehead.

Statistical fact is needed, but should not be solely relied upon - especially when dealing with things such as gender, sexuality and age.

I like the sequels to The Matrix better than the original film itself.
I'm not alone! Reloaded had so many awesome concepts.

OT: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen's Allan Quatermain is my favorite Sean Connery role.

I don't like Markiplier that much since he can be too much of a Ned Flander (and munble alot too) at times but in saying so I like PewDiePie. Yes he's silly with his video but that what I liked about him.

I like the Star Wars prequels, The Matrix Reloaded and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Also, I believe that pretty many of the "trans people" on Tumblr are just people who don't fit gender norms and like making a thing out of it. It's one thing if you've always felt that you've been born in a body of the wrong sex. But most of the "trans people" I see on Tumblr and occasionally in real life simply define themselves as "trans" because they don't fit the gender norms. No disrespect to people with genuine body dysphoria; I'm complaining about the people who insist on gendering every darn emotion and habit and calling themselves "part man" because they don't "act feminine." That's just sexist.

I think a lot of people overreacted to the end of Mass Effect 3, most likely because they vastly overestimated the capabilities of 2 DVD's and an Xbox 360.

And with the Extended Cut, they're actually quite good endings.
The problem with the ending to ME3 has nothing to do with limitations though, it had to do with the fact it made no sense in the context of the story, was a complete deus ex that came out of nowhere, had nothing build up to it and was completely disconnected from the story of the rest of the game and the two previous ones. Which was probably a result of the fact that the ending was written by people who did not write any other part of the series.

OT: I enjoy disaster movies (the most recent one, San Andreas, was quite enjoyable even if I know it wasn't a good movie).

I don't think suicide is a cowardly act, and I prefer to disregard the opinions of those that call it such. People with severe mental disorders, terminally ill people, people with no positive future despite having no disorder or illness, I believe, should consider suicide. Which is more expensive: a crematorial funeral, or the afflicted to continue being a burden to family and society because these people are incapable of recovering or smartening up?

In any case, I think those that commit suicide (preferably by their own choice as opposed to coerced into it) should be lauded as heroes, as they effectively step aside for more useful, productive people to step in and advance humanity.

I think Apartheid in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe was actually a good thing
Not everything needs to crashed and dismissed instantly.

I liked Deus Ex: Invisible War

In general I agree with Bob about "Bad targets, not bad methods"

You can't deny that he was a good manager.
I compare him to modern day Edison. Not sure who would be modern Tesla though :/

I don't believe in the equal value of all people. That's not as bad as it might sound. What I mean is this: I value my mother higher than I value Kim Jong-Un. Also, I'm not ashamed of it.

And if you say that the objective value of all people is the same, well, no. It's not. First, if we were to start the nasty practice of selling people as property, I doubt you'd get the same price for me as for Jennifer Lawrence. Second, there's no such thing as "value-atoms" that exist in equal amounts in all humans.

- I enjoy the Star Wars Prequels, Revenge of the Sith is the best movie in the series.
- The Hobbit movies are very close to being as great as the Lord of the Rings.
- I enjoy Sword Art Online.

Those should be enough sins to have me hung, so it'll do.

Oh and here's another on the trans community: I disagree very strongly about how "you can identify as any gender identity you choose."

Look, if you're biologically a man but identify as female because you "feel that you're a woman," okay, sure, that won't kill anyone. But then, make sure to stand by your belief that the way you feel equals "feeling that one is a woman." If somebody else feels that way, then she's a woman too, even if she identifies as male and claims to be a cis dude. I can't take seriously the idea that your gender identity is only female if you feel like calling it that, because that's like if somebody who's roaring in anger would identify as "not angry." It doesn't mean anger isn't real, but it does mean that you can't arbitrarily decide whether what you're feeling is anger or not.
