My favourite episode of Star Wars is the Phantom Menace. Yes, I even like Jar Jar Binks.
Same minus the Jar Jar Binks, though i don't mind him. If it didn't have star wars in the title it wouldn't have been considered a bad film :(

I think Hideo Kojima is overrated as a writer.
Halo is the most mediocre shooter to ever exist.

Oh good lord. I have a few of these.

*Mass Effect 3 was the best game of all time (though that requires From Ashes, Leviathan, and the Extended Ending)
*Uncharted 1 was one of the worst games ever made (2 was ok though).
*The Last of Us relies on an "ok" story to obscure a mechanically bad game.
*Metal Gear Solid was the last good Metal Gear game. The rest should be called "incomprehensible cutscene: the game."
*Half-life is mechanically solid but incredibly generic and dull.
*The Star Wars Prequels are only kinda bad due to bad direction and writing. They are at least tolerable overall.
*Star Trek: Into Darkness is a better
Wrath of Khan
than the original, which I saw in the theaters when it was released. Benedict Cumberbatch is significantly more believable as a bad guy than
Ricardo Montalban
.
*Demon's Souls is tied with Dark Souls 2 for the weakest (but still great!) Souls game, with Dark Souls being the strongest and Bloodborne just a bit behind (due to lack of replayability and customization, compared with Dark Souls).
*FTL's randomness significantly hurts the game. It's still a good game, but just too reliant on the RNG, which better games overcome through skill (i.e. Binding of Isaac).
*You can joke about a group of people in a way that isn't bigoted. Humor is good, so long as it isn't intended to be hurtful. People need to grow thicker skins.
*The Witcher 2 is tedious and not fun. The combat mechanics are terrible compared to better action games and the characters are unlikeable to the point of not wanting to play the game through with them. The Witcher 2, while technically superior to 1 is actually a step back in terms of fun.
*The Wolf Among Us is an infinitely better Telltale game than The Walking Dead. Infinitely better.
*Children should fail, again and again. They should be taught that they will never be given anything that they don't earn through their own hard work.
*Medication is not a fix for every condition out there. Diet, exercise and self-discipline would solve more first world problems than all the medications out there combined (not to say there aren't some cases that need meds, just that they are more rare than is currently accepted).
*Democracy doesn't work in large societies.
*Republic doesn't work where the people get to vote and there are no checks on campaign finance.
*Simon Templeman should be the lead voice actor in every game ever. - Ok, I just through that in there for fun.

Not only will I agree with this, I'll go so far as to say I like Legend of Korra better than The Last Airbender.

But the ending actually made not that much sense, based on the previous seasons.
Hmm, what didn't make sense? The giant robot?
The romantic ending.

I don't have anything against the theme, it's just ... these characters were stock heterosexuals in the first two seasons, and nothing indicated otherwise.
And I don't like Asami, she's bland as characters go.

I would really have liked the ending if it made sense in the context of the story. This way it just gets a "meh" out of me.

How the last season handles trauma is impressive, otherwise.

Make a Pokemon game where you can actually catch them all?
I think the first two generations, since gen 1 does have a small card you can printout if you catch all 151, and gen 2 had the ability to have all gen 1 pokemon transferred to it. I think it's at gen 3 where it stopped being possible.
If I can do it, anyone can. :p

If you have access to Pokemon Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver, Black and White and their sequels, X and Y and ORAS, catching them all is quite easy. It may sound like I'm making a joke by typing all these names out, but I'm dead serious. A casual fan of Pokemon who has played each of these games can easily complete the Pokedex just by playing them. It takes a decent effort of course, but it's far from impossible. Especially when you don't need the rare event legendaries to get the certificate, if that is what you want.

I'm sorry that people are unnaturally attached to the fattiest part of pork cooked in it's own grease. How people can enjoy crunchy meat is beyond me. I suppose I'll just have to live with myself and my lengthened life span.
You talking about bacon? I can't stand neither crunchy nor american bacon. I have back bacon (standard bacon in UK) and have it pinky/chewy. It tastes much, much better that way.

I don't think suicide is a cowardly act, and I prefer to disregard the opinions of those that call it such. People with severe mental disorders, terminally ill people, people with no positive future despite having no disorder or illness, I believe, should consider suicide. Which is more expensive: a crematorial funeral, or the afflicted to continue being a burden to family and society because these people are incapable of recovering or smartening up?

In any case, I think those that commit suicide (preferably by their own choice as opposed to coerced into it) should be lauded as heroes, as they effectively step aside for more useful, productive people to step in and advance humanity.
Didn't read the whole thread to see if this was gone into but: I believe this is one of the worst things I've ever read. Short of people with terminal illnesses whom I believe we should allow to end their lives when living becomes too much, no one should be killed, or kill themselves. If we start to go by "who's a burden on society needs to go" that's an EXTREMELY slippery slope, what about those damn kids who don't have jobs at 16? What about those older people who worked for 50 years? They're not contributing anything anymore, let's off them.

No suicide is one of the worst things a person can do and every effort should be made to help this people.

OT:
I thought the avengers movies were alright. Just alright. Decent action and whatnot but super hero movies never really interest me. We all know how they end.

All of Pink Floyd's best work was released before Dark Side of the Moon.

My favorite way to play Doom 1 and 2 is with a controller.

On that note, 90% of my PC gaming is done with a controller and I prefer my PC in the living room on an HDTV.

Skyrim is a dry, boring playground full of monotone and disinterested NPCs until you mod the fuck out of it.

The Vita is a fantastic handheld (with FAR more games than my 3DS), and Sony made all the right decisions with it except with the ludicrously overpriced proprietary memory.

The greatest singer/songwriter of all time was/is Elliott Smith.

Demon's Souls is still the best Souls game (though I haven't played Bloodborne).

Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead both bore me to fucking tears and I can't understand the massive popularity.

I am a nerd/geek/whatever, but I am unable to derive any entertainment or other enjoyment from Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, whether in book or movie form.

My daughter will be perfectly okay, or even happy, that her name is Tali'Zorah.

Inglourious Basterds sucks and Quentin Tarantino's movies in general, save perhaps Django, are grotesquely overrated.

I liked Man of Steel a whole lot, at least when I watched it in theaters (haven't seen it since). I don't give a shit if it betrayed the character.

Age of Ultron was essentially a retread of the first Avengers, and an almost completely unnecessary and pointless movie. Joss Whedon blasted Ultron way too hard with his sarcasm-o-matic.

Wolf of Wall Street is an overlong, indulgent rehash of Casino, Goodfellas and Raging Bull that ultimately has very little to say about anything.

I'll never play Magic the Gathering. Just to avoid associating myself with the people who do.

"Multiculturalism" is a buzzword used by rich white liberals living in wealthy neighborhoods to pat themselves on the back and congratulate themselves on how tolerant and open minded they are, while ignoring all the problems that come with any culture clash.

The romantic ending.

I imagine bisexuals who have only shown an interest in a single other person so far all come across as "stock" heterosexuals or homosexuals, which makes it kind of dumb to base your evaluation of a character's sexuality on the first person they were romantically interested in to the point where if their second deviates at all from it, you claim it doesn't make sense. Maybe if Korra and Asami had spent the series flirting with lots of boys you'd have somewhat of a point, but you're deciding what their sexualities are off a sample size of one.
I knew what kind of response this would get (hence why "unpopular"). :(

I think they could have left the first two seasons as is, but made some really strong indicators later on. Or maybe conflicting feelings.
This way just felt ... it was not built enough. It felt like they were afraid to go all out with it. I actually knew about it before I watched Korra, so I looked out for it ... didn't find enough.
I would even have been satisfied if it was like Asami flirting with everyone (including girls), then Korra just going with it. One of the two having at least some kind of indicator of it going that way.

It felt like they decided to make them bi while in production of the series, changing their first script into another, because of reasons.

Well, technically you have a point that it does not conflict itself with something else, so it does technically made sense. Just in a story-telling way, this was by far the weakest point. Everything else built on something, that just ... happened.

The most unpopular opinion I can think of is these "Unpopular Opinions" threads are inherently uninteresting. And seemingly exist mostly to get a rise out of people, or to jack off peoples egos in some way. Whatever I only care enough to let you know how little I care.
My answer is a potentially unpopular opinion: Internet forums, as well as social media platforms, are so popular and pervasive because they are a means for one to broadcast their ego and pretend that the mundane minutia of their lives are worthy of tabloid-like interest by anyone who will listen; the actual networking, conversation, and human connection being secondary for most people. It almost feels like an innate human desire. A thread like this is like a hit of crack as far as that desire to let it all out and hope that someone is listening is concerned, and at 4 pages already seems to be irresistible. You gotta admit, despite your opinion of the thread, you're in it, even if it's just to say that you don't care.

And since I mentioned crack, I've got another unpopular one: Though it is generally dangerous and ill-advised, drugs and/or alcohol can save a life depending on the situation and context of the initial usage. I believe that drugs should be decriminalized (though not necessarily legalized) as their use in most places is a crime with no victim (the victims of the process of a drug going down the chain of command is more than likely the result of the activity being illegal and black market in the first place).

That is a hell of an assumption to make. There is absolutely no way you can know that.
I know that there's no way for me to know that, that's why it's simply my opinion. An opinion that's really only unpopular on the Internet; the majority of people I've encountered in RL in personal or professional capacity either love her name or seem to think nothing of it. I do realize though that being face-to-face is a dynamic entirely different from anonymous interaction online, where I'm more of an abstraction of a real person and it's easier to be frank or dismissive. It's really my opinion that it won't be a big deal, I've heard far more unusual names and I just don't see Tali running into problems or it being some kind of hindrance. If I thought that was the case, her name wouldn't be Tali'Zorah.

I was interested by it and really want to see what it's setting up in the last one.

Which is why I'm very annoyed that there's still no word at all on the last one. Hell, the English DVD release of 3.33 still doesn't exist and the US premiere was over a year ago.

Rebuild 4.44 is the new episode 3...you know, except that more people still care about episode 3.
