do you know how I can get some working on Vista version of the first Unreal? Because my box edition isn't compatible in some way

You've probably tried it, BUT.

Right Click, properties.

Run compatable with: Windows 95 will work prolly. Save.
Right Click: Run as Admin

Usually fixes most troubles, for example the first ever C&C I had to do the same.

Don't think it's gonna happen. Either upgrade your Unreal taste or get an old PC from someone's loft.

I've not only googled but tried 95' compatibility as well.
