wait Dante, Nero...uhhh okay a bit confusing, but maybe playing DMC4 will clear it up (still gotta get around to that) haha

well we all know that ONE assassin is far more dangerous than a room full of them. same goes with ninjas. and Agent Smiths
Ah, the old Conservation of Ninjutsu [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ConservationOfNinjutsu] rule. Terry Pratchett called it The Code [http://wiki.lspace.org/wiki/The_Code]: one brave man against seven wins; the greater the odds, the more crushing the final victory for the Hero.

At least once, I'd like to see this subverted: have one man go alone against a horde of ninja assassins or something, and have the horde mop the floor with him in a magnificently choreographed dance of death.

Devil May Cry 4

Dante and Nero show their brotherly love, with swords and guns.

Watch Video
I just wanted to say kudos to you guys for the incredibly consistent pace on the videos for this series. Looking back, it only looks like you guys took one week off this entire year.
I imagine you guys will be taking a break sometime this month with christmas and new years coming up and I say you've earned it. I can't wait to see what you guys do for your 1 year anniversary.

"I'm seeing symbolism in everything now."

Great...now I am too. No more enjoying Devil May Cry 4. Oh wait, there was no reason to enjoy it in the first place.

"What help are you going to bring, do you know Superman?"

I've never played any of these games. should I?
I thoroughly enjoyed the ones I've played, so they get my recommendation, for what that's worth. The fighting is impressive and while I do admit the cutscenes can go overboard, they're at least entertaining. Oh, be forewarned, this series has a fixed camera still, so if that bothers you, just rent it. The first is the best in my opinion.

Anyway, I thought they were going to do more, the gap between tutorial and cutscene is fairly brief plus there's good material there, plus a whole scene before this that oozes pretentiousness with its fighting and melodramatic singing. But then again its not my show.

Funny, I thought you played as Dante in the Devil May Cry games...
Just goes to show what I know.
Still, Like the fact that everyone looks like an assassin, but they spend most of their time running away... wait, that's what I did in AC...
Anyway, good episode.
Actually Nero is a new protagonist in DMC4. In all the others you play as Dante.

This episode was great! That muffled Dante going "Oh, nice to meet you, my name's Dante".
And "Oh, should we be watching this?"
and "us pathetic, despicable, slivering humans"
and "assassins don't sit on benches". Why didn't that feature a reference to AssCreed 1? Altair went invisible by sitting on benches.

Overall, perhaps one of the best Unskippable episodes ever. At least in my top 5.

I think it has some merit, especially with lots of people in close quarters. When you're alone, you don't have to worry about friendly fire, or your allies doing something that completely messes up your plan. Assuming there's a maximum threshold of effective melee combatants (let's say it's 3), above which additional combatants just get in each others' way, than an opponent that could take down 3 easily could take down many more easily, since they can only attack him 3 at a time.

Also, really good episode. Best one in a month or two, I'd say. It doesn't hurt that the subject matter is over-the-top anyway, absurd yet entertaining on its own merits.

Wasn't it Sparda actually? That would make a lot more sense.

"Oh, the blood's gone."

"Well, we know we aren't playing Dragon Age."

This was the moment I lost it. Dragon Age's blood borders on self parody. There was an excessive amount of it emphasized in the promotional material, and the blood decals lack rationality. I personally loved it and I loved the reference to it.

Great episode as usual guys!
