Now I wonder - How would a dwarf fight; your shins would be all bruised and such; but surely you could stomp on them.
i'd be so worried about crotch leveled adversary that i'd be too scared to get cloe enough to stomp

amusing, i don't recognize the cut scene though, must have skipped it, also i played dwarf and magi elven, amusing for the most parts, and i lost it when paul said monster mash, far from the funniest line but definitely the best delivered .

No, if you try to stomp you get a blade between the legs.. (Or a battlehammer/mace to stay in character :p)

Not particularly funny, again.
That's your taste, and in comparison to mine we think very differently.

If you don't like it why watch it? Badges
Oh yeah I'm obviously watching this stuff for badges...

I just didn't find them very funny this time and sadly it's becoming a regular occurrence (For me) you're welcome to absolutely love this but you don't see me belittling your opinion or your badge/post count do you?

should have made some LOTR references, for instance as the Dwarf jumped with his axe. It kinda reminded me of Gimli. but whatsoever good one.

Come on guys, now you have to do the other 5 origin openings too. It's only fair.

Also, "A Dwarven low pressure system, which I guess is redundant,"

XD

Good job. Kinda disappointed at "Human Noble" origin, though.

It's just so damn generic and boring.

Where DID the spade come from?

Try the Witcher, that NEEDs to be mocked! ;)
I dunno, while the opening cinematic of The Witcher is certainly long enough for their purposes, there's almost no dialog to mock. Also the intro cinematic is completely freaking awesome.
I just started playing The Witcher in earnest a couple of days ago (it's now available without asinine copy protection). The opening cutscene is indeed awesome, although there are opportunities for snarky commentary. Example: As the monster struggles to within nomming distance against the spell Gerald... er, Geralt is casting, he abruptly cuts off the spell and the monster goes hurtling past him. "Psych!" You could also probably crowbar in an Amy Winehouse reference.

But what could really use the treatment is the overwrought dialog in the non-interactive in-game cutscenes and "interactive" conversations. Sadly, they're only thirty seconds or so in length and don't lend themselves well to the format.

Aw, I'm a little disappointed there wasn't any commentary to do with Tim Curry voicing beak-nosed guy.

Why is that tunic so shiny? I could never figure it out. Seems like one of the texture artists got too enthusiastic with the specularity or something.

Hey, Peacocks can be scary, try walking around with like twenty of them about thirty steps behind you.
All my sisters, aunts, and nieces are afraid of just one. If you don't keep a sharp eye near one that happens to follow you then that Peacock with jump and claw at your calves and waist. Twenty of them following is an absolute living nightmare.

I found the opening cut-scene to be reminiscent of a Legend of Dragoon cut-scene. Great job Graham and Paul!

As usual, when they mock an awesome game, it just doesn't work well...consider DA:O has one main opener with 6 different sub-openers, doesn't work that well.

Man, if only they let the scene go on for just a moment longer, until the player character comes walking in.

I wanted to see what kind of character they made. :(

But can the Grey Wardens dance? And is Gandalf a Grey Warden? When he became Gandalf the White, did he become a White Warden? Are there as many kinds of wardens as there are colors?!

Hmm... nope, not laughing. But then, I find the jokes work better with cutscenes I've never seen before, and this one I have seen many many times in the last month and a half.

As for destroying the monster generator... You actually do get to do that. Well, you get to destroy one of them. And unless you're a mage, it'll probably kick your ass majorly. But it is definitely one of the more interesting and atmospheric segments of the game.

I could list the most horrible adjectives i can ever find, and it still would't equal the antipathy i have against this fossilzated game. MAss Effect 2 beats the fuck out of everything.

I saw a regular peacock chase a kid half-way up a tree, I bet the scary peacock would chase all the way up the tree and then eat him...

Interesting you can say that, given that Mass Effect 2 isn't even OUT yet.
