Okay, so what happened was I turned on my computer as normal, and logged in, I got to my desktop and half of my files were missing, I assumed my computer may need a minute so waited, but nothing happened, then I decided to search for one of the missing files in the start menu, my music folder, it found it saying it was on my desktop, so I dragged it onto my almost desktop and it worked fine, but as I'm lazy I thought I should restart my computer to see if that fixes the problem rather then dragging and dropping everything, it worked, all my files are back, except my music folder, which seems to have been deleted.

Does anyone know what happened and if I can get my music folder back?

I'm using windows 7 if that's any help.

Since you first noticed it after you turned the computer on its either some sort of "prank program" installed by someone with access to your pc or a virus of some sort. at least that would be my guess. should probably scan it for malware though.
