Those of you who are reading this are probably here to call me out as an obvious 'tard, but I have played DX twice before this, so hear me out. I left the building where you sent the NSF distress signal, thus giving the finger to UNATCO, and got the infolink call where Paul tells you, and I quote, "meet me at the apartment." I have not done anything outside my mission objectives, I have not killed Paul, if that is even possible. I climb up the fire escape to the second floor of what is unmistakably the 'Ton hotel into what is equally unmistakably Paul's apartment (with the computer and everything.) And yet, Paul is gone. He is in none of the rooms or the chair I left him in. The government raiding party is still outside, but he is gone and therefore, my progress is halted. Is this really a bug? How?

Your game is, in fact, broken.

I suggest starting from an earlier save, overwriting or deleting the broken save, and then Defrag your drive and try again.

OR: Look up the code for the subway gate online, and just go on as normal.

EDIT: Subway gate code is 6282.

I seem to recall that I came into the building through the front door rather than the window. I don't seem to remember there being a raiding party there just yet though. I seem to recall they kick in the outside door and Paul tells you to get out of the place.

I had this exact same problem a year or so ago when attempting a play through. The bigger issue was that I was, like an idiot, playing through with one save/quick save. I guess console gaming has weakened me as a human being.

I just hope you weren't as stupid as me and have an earlier save to revert to.

No prior save then?
Yeah, and I was having such a good time being stealthy this time.... I'll come back to it some time, but I'll probably be bitter and cap anyone who tries to fuck with me. Or looks at me weird. Stupid coding.

I guess it is just life's little way of telling you that being sneaky isn't the way forward. Either that or you are being punished for the Mirror's Edge moniker and avatar picture. : P
