I just stumbled across this article [http://www.lar.net/2012/02/06/choice-consequence-in-rpgs/] on choice and consequence in RPGs, which was quite interesting and analytical, until I realized the guy writing it was actually trying to make a game that had everything he was talking about.
Then it got really interesting.
Has anybody heard of this game Dragon Commander? Should I be getting my hopes up? Youtube has like two videos on it, and I can't even begin to know what to think about them.
Apparently they're trying to take choice and consequence (more) seriously, so that decisions you make in relation to Character X will actually end up affecting Character Y, who you have an independent relationship with, but apparently they also have a relationship amongst themselves independent of you. Pretty nifty stuff... in theory.
