[UPDATE] BioWare Denies Multiplayer for Mass Effect 3

I'll give the game kudos to exploring aliens, but I'm snapping at it for making them feel second to humanity.

Maybe Bioware are a little bit racist. Thw hole trailer did seem to give the feel "Humans first".

Good thing there is no multiplayer, why ruin a perfectly good franchise by putting in the aggrevation you get when dealing with obnoxious 14 year olds.

20$ says that there actually is going to be multiplayer.

I agree for several reasons. I will wait until they announced it, I think people will actually be suprised, lol.

I feel like they should go for it. Bioware has the resources to take risks and this is a win win scenario. If it turns out terrible who cares, we're only there for the single player.

Why not just cut and copy parts of the story mode missions/maps, ad spawn spots and go to town, not being a developer I can't see why this would be that big of a deal.

I'm a huge Mass Effect fan, and as long as it doesn't fuck with the single-player experience at all, I'm all for a deathmatch with crazy Biotic powers flying everywhere.

All the same I wonder if abilities will now be tweaked around multiplayer or if single and multi player variants will be kept segregated, as well as how multiplayer resources will effect the game as a whole.

I don't care if they have multiplayer in it or not. I trust Bioware to be able to make a good game no matter what they decide to include.

I don't care if it's milking it, I want Mass Effect: Garrus dammit!

Thank goodness for that. I'm all for the multiplayer crowd getting their chance to play in the Mass Effect universe, but the main trilogy - featuring as it does one main character who's at least in part defined by the player's actions and choices - should remain single player.

I'm glad its going to stay Single Player for the most part, as I detest co-op and multiplayer, but I think there's plenty of room for Multi-Player Gameplay outside of the main game. Like a Co-Op Mode that involves the defense of Earth against the forces of the Reapers, that would be pretty good and could be a neat way of exploring an element of the story that might not be fully touched on in Shepard's epic final battle.

Maybe unlocking a defence co-op mode after you finish the game?
I'd like that rather than just having it to begin with, that way perhaps you could use your Shepard to play in the co-op mode? That'd be fun.

I'm very glad it won't have multiplayer. Multiplayer is good, and these days lots of games are going multiplayer and even becoming MMOs simply because the technology is there, but it's good that there is at least one developer who still understands that a video game can simply tell a very good story.
