There's no need to announce games like that. Of course there will be another one. It's the same with any big cash cow franchise. I can go ahead and announce C&C 5 and 6 right here on this spot and I'll be correct.

While I'm quite sure it didn't happen like that, I'd like to live in a world in which that happens when someone goes to read Shaquille O'Neil's twitter.

I don't see how accidentally leaking a game is in development would be a bad thing. We'll still have a year or two to wait before we can even play it.

Hmmm yeah that may be true but i think it was such a shock because of the screenshots, maybe.

And I'm sure people were just as excited and surprised as they would have been if the hype machine would've allowed to stay on for a while longer. Come on, developers, if you'd just announce development when it started, this wouldn't happen.

Sorry but unless Westwood rises from the dead I could care less about C&C, which is tragic, really.

Knowing EA & Westwood, it's not really that much of a surprise to see another sequel (quadrequel?:) announced.

I have an idea for the MMO. It'll have lots of people, lots of guns, and lots of money being spent on both ends of the product (and probably in the middle, too).

Personally, I just like to give orders and destroy enemy opposition. If they do make an MMO, it would require a little bit of killing people and a little bit of building a small military base that defies certain forms of logic.

But it won't be an MMO, nor will it be a successor to Renegade. Because my luck is in the negative.

The survey mentioned in the article was all about C&C 4, it asked what you though about certain new features they were adding.
I knew, just didnt care, C&C has been totally outclassed, the last good one was Generals.

As long as they don't touch the Red Alert franchise again.

FYI, Westwood Studios has been dead since 2003.

I want another bloody generals.
Generals 2. Anyone with me?
Yes Yes a thousand times yes. Generals was one of the best RTS's I ever played, the factions were resonably balanced and the plot was actually fairly deep and did not follow the stereotypical U.S.A saves the world stuff (yes even in America that get fairly old fast). It suprised me at the end when the U.S.A had to flee with their tails between their legs and is was the Chinese that reigned Suprime at the end.

For the GLA!!!!!!!!!

WHAT?! Epic conclusion? NO WAI! o_O

Why on Earth did they decide to finish up the Tiberium Universe like that? It still has so many games left in it...

Well, I only hope that the ending is going to be every bit as awesome as the rest of the series was.

That's probably not happening, apparently CNC4 will be the last one save for the spin-offs
