Upgrade advice

SO yeah, I'm upgrading my pc in a few months. I'm planning on getting a new motherboard, CPU and RAM obviously. The CPU I want to get is the Intel i5, but now I'm just wondering whether that will last me for long enough until I have to upgrade again.
So Escapist, do you have any advice for me?

The i5 will last you quite a while, it's a good solid CPU, what I'd be careful about is trying to get a fairly modern GPU, DX11 support if possible, I did the misstake of getting one with only DX10 support (not even 10.1), so I'll have to change it in a couple of years.
