Uploading animated gifs

How to I upload an animated gif as my avatar? I've tried uploading it as a gif and png file but neither work. I read that it might have something to do with the size but i'm not sure. Its 400x400 and uploads fine but only a single frame.

I would post to show you all but i'm not too sure how you do that.

The one you have now is animated...

Was it supposed to be something else?

If it's animated, the Escapist will not resize it and retain the frame data, only the first frame. If it's already proper size (75x75) then the frame data will work.
