URGENT: Steam Problem

Has anyone else have this problem? It's a very BIG problem, my friend's list is gone! I had about the max amount that you can have and now they're all gone! What is Valve doing about this? Does anyone else have this problem?

From what I gather it's a slight bug relating to the release of the Beta interface.

Most people have this problem. Join the PC group and there'll be most of the details. It's a temporary glitch.

A lot of people have the problem. They're working on it, I know there's another thread that knows what to do, but since I have to go I can't link you.

I also have another problem, you know when you're about to time out, it does that laggy thing before you time out? Well I use to time out a lot for some reason, (now I dont) but every so often I still get those lag problems, and no I'm not downloading the pronz! It can't be me though cause I have a great ping on all servers (least the ones I play on) what could it be?

There's been loads of topics like this, chill out. There is an official steam forum which states that the problem is known, they've made a fix and they're pushing it soon. Don't count on anything though, it's steam..

yeah, this happened to me, but my list is back now. I guess just restart steam until it comes back.
