Hey all, last post from me on the subject. With the DJT Media up and stabilizing the week before the election it was clear to me insiders had a beed on the election and so I gradually tuned out. I couldn't tell you how traders knew or at least were incentivised to buy in on the failing stock. None of trade sites offered any clues.
I haven't watched any of the statistics or coverage and I don't care to. My guess is that the DNC just did not put forth clear incentive to minorities, specifically the black and latino voting blocks that feel underserved. Biden also should have dropped out a year ago. People vote emotionally and don't understand the complexities of federal governance.

My only comment is that it was a big loss for me.
Not ideologically speaking, I have cerebral palsy and am protected under the preexisting conditions clause in the patient bill of rights. Essentially before ACA was passed I was constantly battling with my insurance companies because theyd use my cerebral palsy as an excuse to decline coverage for medications and surgeries. I went to court twice.
The RNC has attempted to repeal ACA many times but were blocked most famously by McCain.
Theyve committed to continue trying to repeal it and with control of the senate and presidency its all but guaranteed. The quiet part is that they don't care about ACA. Its the PBOR protections they are after due to insurance lobbying.
Now I'm basically on a ticking clock waiting for the repeal to happen and wipe out my protections.
I know for most it seems like some ideology war, but Im literally screwed. Scares the hell out of me because I just had hip surgery. Without the PBOR I would have been up shit creek. My literal medical chart states it was an expected degradation due to CP.
I would suggest anyone utilizing the protections under the PBOR to start planning for your medical future without them. My guess is you've got 12-15 months before its repealed and you start receiving adjusted coverage documentation from your insurers.
A major goal of the Affordable Care Act – the health insurance reform legislation President Obama signed into law on March 23 – is to put American consumers back in charge of their health coverage and care. Insurance companies often leave patients without coverage when they need it the most...

I wish this election were as simple as the culture war makes it out to be. The truth is the 2024-2026 congress is going to be focused heavily on tearing apart medical/environmental/corporate regulations and consumer protections. Its going to come fast and furious. When the republicans control congress they don't sit on their laurels. They have a laundry list of lobby requests for deregulation. The acts will be much harder to undue once passed.
Anyhoo thats all I had to say. Im out.
