These are the same kind of idiots as that woman who cried "he's hurting the wrong people" during Trump's first term. They thought he was only going to do harm to the people they hate; now that they're feeling pain, there's regret.
The only people I feel bad for are the young children and babies of those fools.
Its really hard to feel sorry for them, but if I give it my best shoot, they more or less live in a cult like situation. They get information from propaganda network and almost everyone around them also get feed the same propaganda. They go to terrible school, where teacher also believe all that propaganda. The most important institution in their community, the church, are also heavily pushing the same lies, because they know that when people get access to good info, they quickly find out about all the awful stuff the church does and how they really don't need religion in their life. This has been going on for quite a long time, plenty of them have known nothing else for at least a decade, and the situation before wasn't that great.
This is their coping mechanism- to blame "those people" for everything bad that happens. The more they suffer, the more their hate will drive them to attack "the other" as the supposed cause of that suffering. They don't have the capacity to examine themselves and understand that they're the cause of their own problems.

I honestly can see them abolish ICE and let other organisations handle those tasks. ICE is too toxic, hated and also full of Maga and (due to indiscriminate hiring) incompetent idiots. Better to start from a clean slate.
