I have a G11 logitech macro Keyboard which works all well and fine when I'm in the OS, though if I'd like to enter the BIOS using delete or an F key during bootup it is unresponsive. I've been looking around a bit and a lot of people gave the advice to turn on USB legacy in the BIOS - I did this using another keyboard, but as it turns out it was already enabled.

The trick that did work was that during the boot-up if I plug the USB keyboard in and out (Of the same port) It suddenly does get recognized and works properly. I'm guessing the BIOS doesn't check this particular port by default, is there any way for me to specify the BIOS where to look for the keyboard?

With my computer, the USB keyboard is recognized in the BIOS only if it is plugged into a specific port. The same may be true for your computer as well.

I'll try out the different ports, though is it possible to allocate a specific port for the BIOS to check at boot? My PC has a few USB ports in the front and its not exactly ideal for a keyboard to be plugged in there since that will give me a pretty long cord that gets in the way.

As far as I know, there is not a BIOS setting for which port to check. On my computer, the keyboard has to be plugged into USB slot 1, which is one of 4 on the back of the machine. It seems to me to be unlikely that any computer maker would wire things to require the keyboard plugged into the front.

Yeah, the frontal ports didn't do the trick - Guess I'll switch around a bit with the ports on the backside, annoying little 'bug'
