Bull. We use all of our brain mass, different parts of it do different jobs. The part of your brain that controls your adrenal glands is different to the part that responds to smells and taste. If we didn't use 90% of our brains, damage to unused areas wouldn't affect us, when in reality there is no part of the brain that can be damaged without resulting in negative affects on performance.
